Cavdad's Team of the Decade thread got me thinking; how would you create the greatest team of all time?

Pick the offense, defense and special teams from three different teams, and then assemble a coaching staff (head coach, offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator).

I don't have near the years of experience watching high school ball as some of you, so here's my attempt using teams I've seen or heard enough about.

Offense
2005 Southlake Carroll

Defense
2003 North Shore

Special Teams
2007 Katy

Head Coach: Mike Johnston
Offensive Coordinator: Todd Dodge
Defensive Coordinator: Gary Joseph

You know very little of what you speak.

I actually agree with him to a point. Most of the time, Coach Johnston was a man of few words. You listened when he spoke, but he was not a particularly vocal coach. In practice, it was Joseph who got us all pumped up and led most of the drills. It was Joseph who ran the conditioning. It was Joseph running the defense in the games. The OC was calling the plays from the box, and then Johnston relayed them trough the receivers. Obviously Johnston played a big part of that too, but you have to concede that Coach Joseph took on a lot of responsibilities generally handled by a head coach. I think that is why there was such a smooth transition when he took over as HC, beause he was already what I considered a co-head coach.

Obviously it wasn't always that way though. I don't know what year but it is said that Johnston gave up most of his responsibilities knowing he'd retire soon and Joseph would take over. Not as early as 97 and more than likely not as early as 2000 either im sure but that is part of the reason there wasn't a dropoff.

WOW! Just....WOW!:(

Coach J. the first is the reason Katy......IS!!!

Please refrain from posting on matters you know little about, it's safer that way!

All the credit in the world goes to Coach J. the second for what he has accomplished at Katy, but do not discredit the man who started it.

This sounds like the naming of a pope, shall they be refered to as

"Coach J the 1st"

and

"Coach J the 2nd"

????
