Fort Worth is closed until May 11. I just got an e-mail from Lewisville ISD and they will be closed next Monday thru Friday. Only one confirmed case that I know of. The kids will not have to make up the days. My son will be a very happy camper tonight.

this.
Saw on the news that LISD may be closed longer. I am actually part of the decision making process at little pied's school. It took a long time but we decided to remain open. HArd to balance the feeling that it is overblown, the realization that the virus is not particularly strong, the parent's concern both ways, and the possibility and ramifications that someone may get infected at the school.
I have second/third hand information that one school district closed because of finacnces. Too may kids being held out was causing the enrollment and $$ issues to the point it did not make sense to remain open. Not certain how hat works as the teachers will stil have to be paid, but there might be a clause that they get state $$ when clsed for a reason like this.
Cy-Fair ISD....not all schools....just my 8 year olds elementary school. Closed until the 18th!!!!!!!!...Sucks big time...and to make things worse...they Daycare won't let her go to daycare because they have to follow the schools ruling. So my 3 year old can go to DayCare, but the 8 year old can't. This is pissing me off big time......the 18th?????:Censor:

Exactly....the excuse they used is "She could have been exposed"...but common sense says, if she's been exposed wouldn't my 3 year old be exposed also being that they LIVE together?.I mean, that 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!:Censor:

The notice we received said that we should keep checking the LISD website because if more cases come up then they might close for longer. The rumor is that there a some possible cases in other schools across LISD and if those are positive then they will close next week as well.

Next time you pick up your 3 yr old go in there wearing a surgical mask and see what they say.

I heard there was a second confirmed at Hebron Valley and a probably that turned into a false alarm at a second school.

Good on the false alarm. I guess we will just keep checking each day and see if it changes.
