I play poker pretty seriously.... I've mentioned that before. I do pretty damn well.

Well, nights like tonight.

I just lost 2200 dollars on one hand. I lost with a king high flush to the nut A' high flush.

Worst thing is, I had my flush on the flop. He didnt make his hand to the river. And we were already 600 dollars committed at that point.

He checks again. I raise 600 more (1200 total). And bam, raises the **** out of me (good play on his behalf at this point... even though he chased in) 1000 more. I still feel good about my K' high flush and feel committed to the pot due to the money already invested and the value of my hand on the board. But of course, he has it.


2200 dollars... gone. Probably wont play online for a week or so. Sighh.

Unfortunately.

My one regret in life is not going to college in Louisiana so I could get a cash game whenever I want.

My chances of losing are greatly less in person.

Got a couple of trips planned for the summer already though.

Are there not any tournaments where you live? Yea its illegal but there's still tournaments all around the valley. of course private but you find out about em. my buddies play in them all the time in E-E or Weslaco or Edinburg. And for big money too. Or sometimes they'll host their own.

Yeah, poker is pretty big around here. But it aint' the same going to some dudes undercover game. A lot of games have been getting busted around here for whatever reason.

haha i usually play on facebook poker when i dont feel like playing seriously. ******** never fold.

its not illegal to play poker in Texas unless there is a house fee I thought...:confused:


So theoretically you could get a bunch of guys together, and play for real moneys and it's not illegal unless the "host" takes a cut

Probably since in that case the "house" aka the slot machine, takes a cut (all the money you lose lol)

Have any of you ever been to the Bosier Citry Horseshoe Hotel???

If so, what did you think.

They sent me 3 free nights, 300 dollar cash credit, 150 dollar dining credit, and airfair reimbursment.

Just wondering how the hotel/casino/area is.....
