Who has the best secondary in the state. Are they D1 recruits? do they have the right size and speed? Are they smart ball players?

I don't know if we are going to be the best in the state, but we have some winners back there for Humble.
CB Bryson Burris 5'11 175 -Soph/JR *
CB Alphonso Harleson 6'2 190 Soph/JR*
CB Daute Davis 5'11 185lbs JR/SR
CB Timothy Stringfellow 6'3 190 JR/SR
That is one tough group of kids, and two of them are locks in my opinion for Division 1.

Some programs that jump out to me would be
The woodlands
Desoto
Northshore
I think Lancaster has had the best athletes in the secondary the past two years though. But thos isn't a 4a thread :D

How is it possible for anyone to know who has the best secondary of 09' when the season hasn't even started? We need to see some on field action before we can say who has the best secondary of 09'.

Your right of course but we got a lot of months ahead of us before the first game and I'm make up stuff as I go along to keep me from going nuts during the off season...
Wished I like baseball or basketball as much. Would ease some of my withdrawl pains...:)

That's how I feel too. We have a lot of good ball players coming up from the younger teams. We just got contact full pads last week. Somebody always jumps up and draws attention with a new season. I want to drop names badly, but can say we have big hitters once again in the secondary and LB corps after a one year lay off in that area. I am Looking forward to the Klein - Humble game that never happened last year due to IKE....I think Humble travels to Klein this year.

Dulles should be pretty salty with Zach McMillan, CJ Love and Sherroid Evans returning. McMillan and Love are 2 year letterman. Evans is a 2011 player to watch who lettered last year. Hopefully, the returning DL can also hold up their end of the bargain. If not, it really doesn't matter who you have in coverage, someone will get open.

Just for fun to look at all the players put up against each other. And to smack talk and build up your team. I know NS has to have some pretty good DBs this year. just interested in seeing how other teams are stacking up

It will be a good one, i think it will be our first real challenge going up against that run heavy Wing T....
Our offense i going to be very explosive this year...We lost an RB, but we have plenty of talent to fill his spot...how does your defense look this year?

NS always has good DB's they just hardly if ever get a chance to really show what they can do. i mean its kind of hard for some teams to throw the ball against the rush our front seven put up. I've always said our Db's have been vastly underrated because they don't get the chances that most DB's around the state do.
