Jerry still owns and GM's. When you do what you been doing, you get what you been getting.

Great start to a drinking song. The b side could be this is where the cowboys don't make the playoffs again.

Obviously there are several posters on here that have no comprehension or reading skills.
The boys will be fine if we can avoid the injury bug and pick up a decent safety. This will be a very long season for the haters:D

Who do you want to see drafted with Dallas' first pick? I've heard Patrick Chung's name thrown around on a few different mock drafts.

I've heard the same thing as well!
Chung isn't a bad player at all either! Wouldn't mind having him! But, with all of the draft picks that the 'Boys have, do you think it's possible that Jerry MIGHT, try to trade up in the first round?

Jones is an idiot, can't predict what an idiot will do on draft day:(

I guess it would depend on who is left on the board near the end of the first but I think JJ wanted to stay out of the first round for cap reasons. I don't think signing bonuses are prorated or not prorated the full length of the contract this year.

I've seen that quite a bit, too, and have no issue with it. The Boys need to look at safety and ol early followed by lb, wr and dl with all those second day picks. A young qb prospect to nurture would be nice and in totally feasable with multiple picks in rounds 4,5,6, and 7. I'd like to see one oft he Texas kids come home.(McGhee, Bomar, Harrel or Daniel and prolly in that order)

Anything is possible with Jerry but I sincerely hopre not. I'd rather see strategic moves up and down in the individual rounds depending on what their board is telling them. Ciskowski is soooo much better than people realize. He's a talent that was developed right and benefited from being here with Parcells. His first draft was a monster and not just because they had 2 first rounders. This team is very talented but they are not nearly as deep as you would think. I'd really like to see what Ciskowski and Stephen Jones could do with 11 picks. They added 5 keepers last season. If they can match that or beat it this season our long term window will continue to open. Also remember, these draft picks are cheap compared to signing free agents and drafting at the top. Hitting in the draft keeps your team not only young but under the cap. It allows you to resign your proven guys or add a f/a. We have 5 areas of need and 11 picks. We could pick up a few kids at each position, give or take, and build that youthful depth. If nothing else you have a serious opportunity to chrun the bottom 20 of your roster and that's a good thing in this league. Keep the picks, Jerry.

I'm hoping he'll follow suit with how he operated last year. The sooner we get Stephen Jones making most of the decisions the better. He and Ciskowski make a nice team. Just let Jerry sit in frot of the camera and call in the picks.

When they go into 2010 without a new labor deal the year becomes uncapped. Alot changes including the responsibility of teams for their picks bonus money. Exactly right.

Great post!
And, 11 draft picks is worth keeping! Hell, it's been proven time and time again, that you can find good players in the 2nd to later rounds.
