I know it doesn't compare to some other areas around the state.
But for the Rio Grande Valley that's huge, for ONE school in three years (with 2 potential more after the 2009 season), I think it's worth some mention.
2008-Matt Mendez - Air Force DE
2007-Mario Benavides - Louisville -projected starter for 2009 at Center
2007-Eloy Atkinson - UTEP -Center
2006-Justin Springer - played as a true freshman in 07, projected starter at LB for 2009
2006-Jeremy Springer - UTEP signed as QB, moved to LB
2009 Possible D1 prospects - OL Mendoza 6'5 280lbs (interest from Tulsa, Montana State) and Ivan Gonzalez 6'1 200 DE
