Which one was the toughest?
This year's SLC team faced six teams in the playoffs that were a combined 70-3 (before they met SLC).
Did this schedule become the toughest of the past four years with the playoff opponents, or was one of the previous three the toughest?

Its very hard to pick one..I like this years team because while everyone focuses so much on the offenses production, this was our best defense..IMO

That was definately one of the strongest defenses I've seen come out of SLC in recent years, hard-hitting relentless pursuit and key fundamentals I was very impressed.

it would be esp hard to differentiate between the 04 and 05 schedules. both were murderer's row.

Found a 2004 SLC shcedule page...looks like SLC's playoff opponents last year were something like 65-9 before they played SLC. (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/highschools/leaderboard/football/2004/schedules/HSFB-teamskeds-294.html)
Still good, but that makes me appreciate this year even more...SLC met two undefeated teams last year in the playoffs vs. four this year.

This year's route to the State Championship is, in my opinion, the most difficult faced by each of the four SLC 5A Teams. After beating I-Mac and Allen, SLC faced four consecutive unbeaten teams; Abilene - Plano - Lufkin - Katy - this must be one of the most difficult foursomes ever.

Here is a summary of SLC's playoff results in 2004 and 2005.
.......................................2005....... 2004
Average Points Scored...........44..........38
Average Points Allowed..........19..........20
Average Margin of Victory.......25.........18
Opponent Record.................70-3.......65-9 (record before SLC game)
Statistically, the 2005 teams appears better. They scored more points, allowed fewer points, had a higher margin of victory and they played opponents with a better record.
BOTH playoff runs were among the toughest that anyone can remember.

Found this on another board regarding SLC's ill-fated '03 season:
SLCs 03' playoff opponants prior to championship game.
#7 13-1 Allen
#12 10-3 Irving
#37 8-3 Arlinton
#43 7-5 Monterey
#66 7-3 MacArthur
All we've got left that's in question is the '02 schedule (was it tougher and did the playoff opponents have better records than this year's one?), as to whether this was SLC's toughest-yet 5A schedule.
