This is the blog from the Dallas Morning News, Tim MacMahon. He also had one for the Highland Park game (probably more).

His reporting of the Rowdy halftime "show" was pretty good.

"It's a done deal, according to the band
Carroll's band ended its halftime show by spelling out STATE CHAMPS 2002, then 2004, then 2005.

No mention of 1988, 1992 or 1993."

we put 2003 in there as well..we did that because it was a 5a record and we broke it, not to show championships...what a bozo

Please explain what 2003 had to do with the band spelling state champs and putting the other years in there. You're not going to get class points for putting 2005 in there at halftime.

They spelled out "STATE 2002/3/4/5" referencing the 4 appearances in a row.

bozo point #2
that play to dodge isn improv...its deisgned. riley lines up as far wide out fakes a go then stops, db release dodge and rushes mc who thens finds riley on the hitch...all designed. in fact lufkin saw it lst week in another 3rd down conversion.

if you read my post it says its because it was a record...state title games in a row..like dragoncrew06 said..

he also said he might concede to slc if they won yesterday. short-sidedness doesn't mean blindness, but in timbo's case, it does point towards pointlessness.

i was more pissed at the fact that Katy wasnt on there, when they have obviously been more of a dynasty that ML. Lee was just the beneficiary of a REALLY good RB

that actually was the point of my rant. timbo should have said cbenson was the most dynastic hs rb ever. mlee didn't do much before or since. kt and plano both have hugely more dynastic teams/programs than mlee.
