There is controversy over on the offensive side of this award but I am sure that the voters got this one right. This guy was an absolute monster and even though SGP had tons of D1-recruits their team would not have been the same without him.

He was a Free Safety/Kick Returner/Punt Returner/Running Back/Wide Reciever who could do it all. He made huge plays against Trinity and completely dominated other teams. His pick against Denton Ryan sealed the deal.
