Last season East Texas Represented, this season with some help from the refs, Only one Only One East Texas team played for the title...I know STINK BAIT when I smell it. What lengths will an organization (UIL) go to...Nothing against Judson, but how do they beat Spring Westfield and Longview not beat South Garland...San Antonio Chapter Referees, please answer that...Please, and then Judson lose to crappy crappy ole Euless Trinity who played their Offensive starters the entire game the whole game agaisnt Tyler Lee and piled up 43 points, while Longview played theirs Offensive starters one half and posted 35 points...If it looks like stink bait, smells like stink bait, then you can bet it is a pile of stink bait...Tell that,
Hope Judson fans don't take offense, but it is what it is, it is ashame that the ruling board (UIL), is judge and jury and they reside in the Austin/San Antonio Area

Lemme guess...Longview got jobbed by the refs in the '97 title game too...or was it the unbearable humidity of the Astrodome? It's all a big conspiracy.

They got jobbed in the game against Lufkin last year too. The refs put baby oil all over the ball. Presto...!!! 5 fumbles...Pack wins and the streak is still alive.
Now if we could just get those damn scrimmage refs in our pocket.

SA refs did not call the Judson-Westfield game. They always get neutral location refs to call playoff games. You're pretty much looking at Dallas refs when SA plays Houston.
As far as Trinity leaving starters in too much, that is very true. They had 3 passes by the backup QB and a little over 110 running plays by backups in 15 games. That's not a lot for a team that had some huge blowouts.
I'll never say Longview had the best team this year because they're not even close to having the best coach. There's nothing in the world that should've stopped Longview from beating South Garland if they truly were a National Top 25 team. South Garland isn't known for years of playoff success. At least Judson had the pedigree to win big games before they played Westfield. This was their 3rd time to play in December in the last 4 years.

Bleed,
I decided a long time ago early in this deployment to go talk to MyRoundO when I get back. He works on base at Sheppard. He, more than anybody else that roots for Longview, made people root against you guys this year.

myround is back.....again..... with the same BS......give me a break man. Longview is better than that and I don't think the majority of their fans appreciate you bringing them down in flames with you. Get over it, Longview choked like Lufkin team choked in '03. As far as Eastex not representing this year, bleed is right, we have several teams still in the hunt for that State Ring and Lufkin made it 5 Deep(most teams only dream of making it that far). Lufkin and Longview will reload and come out shooting next year.

Myround o what does the o stand for zero sense!!!! What in the h#$%ll you mean crappy Euless team???I thought I was the biggest idiot on this board! I am not even in your league for idiots!! I'll say this Trinity against Tyler Lee DID NOT PLAY THEIR STARTERS IN THE 4TH QUARTER.!!!!! IF NANCE WOULD HAVE PLAYED ALOT IN THE 2ND HALF OF OUR GAMES HE MIGHT HAVE WON THE 5A PLAYER OF THE YEAR!!! Also talking about ref's we are one of the most penalized teams in 5A. We just shake it off and press on. I'm surprised you don't have this stat if you have the starters playing stat!! I'll go to bed tonight knowing there is a bigger idiot out there than me.

What are you crazy?! You do know Trinity took a knee in the redzone in the first half of a game and took out the starters at half time(Irving) and many times the starters did NOT play in the forth quarter. Beside I gave you the stat about the backup only having 3 passes because its showed up in multiple stories citing Trinity's tendency to just run it up the gut when they have a significant lead.

OK, I have just one question and I'm being serious.
I stated the 3 passes by the backup because I went back to look at the stats and see how much more ET could've scored in games and because of what others said about them. I'm also aware that Nance came out of games for Handy to get carries and another backup came in to block. The Irving game was the biggest blowout of the year for ET.
How did they only have like 110 running plays in 15 games for the backups? That number sounds very low for the size leads they had. With the number of yards they got per play from backups, it doesn't seem like they were doing a bunch of 3 and outs. I wasn't at the games, but it looks like they left starters in too long on the surface. The backups just didn't get that many series during the year.
