I've been out of town all week but heard a rumor from a guy in Florida that McElroy is rethinking college plans and considering Alabama. Truth or Fiction?

as a rice supporter(any one feeling sorry for me yet), i would be ecstatic to see him wind up there. he could make a splash early by bringing in some great recruits. clint and prince haven't committed, and maybe a couple of big names from places like abilene(lyle l) and irving(tennell) and slc(mcelroy) might rethink their commits. there are a couple of stud baseball players(luna, dodson, and henley) already at rice who could help get things rolling right away too. could he turn rice into a nat'l contender? improbable, but he couldn't hurt them either. his recruiting would be helped by the noteriety with slc, and lots of kids want to be a star in their own x-box game, like slc has had for a while now.

as a slc backer, it is almost a done deal in 2 years anyway. this would be a perfect time to approach joflo about staying in 5a and moving south just a little.

rice goes good with almost any recipe.

dd, were you surprised by the oc offer to hays at baylor?

not at all, esp with phillips coming along as the qb coach. wtamu was an offensive dynamo this year. i wish middle son had an opportunity to play in an offense like that. baylor's going to get a little more exciting this year.

absolutley agree, am looking forward to watching baylor...my word was it came down to dodge & hays. i think they made a great choice, prolly the best for THAT position...now rice is a diff story. i think its perfect match. with rice's academic restrictions, the players todd would have to recruit would fit his system to a "T" and i feel he would be quite successful.
