Everyone is talking about Lufkin being number one, and SLC and Katy rebuilding. From my thread I can tell you that Cy-Falls will be a contender. Don't ever count out the this years top contenders. They are there for a reason.

Lufkin is returning just about everyone on offense. They will have to reload some on Defense. I have a feeling next year could be their year. I feel like they need a break since they have lost to SLC 3 out of the last 4 years in the semi's......Could they be snakebit??

speaking of which, my friend (yankeeman) had an article out of the DMN, about Evan Fentris, and how he went about trying to make the team, he didnt tell coach dodge his resume or anything, he just told coach he wnated to play and when coach asked where he said where ever, shows a lot about him, its a great article

With 9 offensive and 6 defensive starters returning and this is unbiased I fell Lufkin should be the #1 team in the State next year and should be the front runner for the championship. My #2 team might be a shocker to some but I feel that Cy Falls has what it takes to get to the big game next season with alot of talent coming back.


Lufkin Returning Starters

QB- Jeremy Claybon- Coming off a record breaking season
WR- Dez Bryant- The #8 ranked player in Texas for next seaosn. The best.
WR- Ralph Thomas- Best Athlete in Lufkin Highschool.
RB- Jacorey Turner- Explosive RB with 4.3 speed.
OL- Max Taylor-Great Pass blocker
OL- Michael Jost- Big time center never messed up a snap all season
OL- Matt Adams- good pass blocker
OL- Cam Kegler- Real Physical
OL- Big Hanks- Turned into a pretty solid lineman

DB- Joe Jackson- Solid football player with great speed
DL- Randle Murphy- Has been the best DT's in Lufkin the past 2 seasons
DE- AJ Penson- Simple amazing. Will go some were in the Big 12 and play.
DB- Darriouse Terry- A sophmore with a big INT against South Garland.
DB- Danquan Landry- Shutdown DB did a good job against SLC.
LB- Cam Davis- Plays with alot of heart. Stdent of the game.

I really hope next season will be our year.

Goodluck SLC and Katy at State will be tuned in on TV.

I think it would be a good idea to wait until the UIL announces the new district alignments. This might effect play-off pairings for next year. Just my opinion.
