I'm a new poster but I still think I know a lot about HS football and this is my top 10... feel free to discuss/flame/make death threats/praise me about it.

1. SLC - Self Explainitory
2. Lufkin - Lufkin has done enough to prove their worth at #2. They had a great season and things may have been different had they had their QB against SLC. The Dragons will be #1 if they win or #2 if they lose, its that easy.
3. Katy - I don't think Katy is as good as Lufkin. I think they have had a great season and harped on too much about their schedule. Their only loss was a close game against the champions, and had they not made so many mistakes it could have been different.
4. Plano - They also had a great season and have earned this ranking. Going undefeated, only losing to the best team in the state(as of now). They deserve no worse, having impressive playoff victories that showed that they were for real.
5. Spring Westfield - At full strength they are #5. Had they been at full strength against Judson they would have won and also beaten Trinity also. They earned this spot with an impressive win against North Shore amongst an undefeated season.
6. Copperas Cove - Another great team who had a great season with impressive wins. They lost to a great team named Lufkin in a close game. Only one loss, and that one loss was to a great team.
7. South Grand Prairie - A bunch of people under estimate this team because they were 10-2 and exited 2nd round. Their two losses were by a touchdown or less and they had 6 - count it - 6 defensive players heading to D1 schools. That is a ton. Their only problem was playing all 48 minutes of a game.. had they done so watch out. I still think this is the most talented team in the state.
8. Euless Trinity - The D1 champs fall at #8 because their resume isn't as impressive as the teams above. Their team's weakness was the pass, and were fortunate to only face 3 pass-first teams all season(SGP, Mac, LD Bell), going 2-1 and allowing way too many yards through the air. Did not do enough to make up for their SGP loss and did not have the top-quality, eye opening win that the teams above have.
9. Smithson Valley - 2 losses, but a great season. Like Trinity, weren't seriously challenged in the playoffs but still are in the top 10 because they won one of the hardest districts in thes state. They also didn't have any eye-opening wins but still were impressive in games they did win.
10. Longview - They layed an egg in their playoff game, and everyone knows that, but they are still top 10 material.

Another one of those from Dallas who thinks the Region 1 & 2 are so much better than the other 2 regions. Got a suspicion he is originally from Longview.
