I still think you guys are overrating Trinity. It is not the fact that they won the D1 Championship. They still lost a game, and they, in my opinion, did not do enough to avenge that loss. None of the teams they defeated after their loss were as good as South Grand Prairie, plain and simple. They did not beat any undefeated teams, or even any decent one loss teams for that matter outside of MacArthur(which was a close game). EP Franklin was the worst one-loss team in the entire playoffs. They didn't do enough to make up for that SGP loss, and to the teams, who at this time, lost only to the best team in the state, Carroll, they deserve more credit. Trinity did not lose to the best team in the state, or even a team in the top 5. And they didn't do enough to make up for it. Teams like Plano, Copperas Cove, Lufkin, and Carroll have proven their worth by defeating undefeated good teams.

It's a prediction! What has Madison done in the past to make anyone think they will do something next season?

It amazes me how the "haters" love to discount the Rockets. No, they did not have a great start this season, but they still made it to state. Furthermore, look at their history--the winning records--the state championships.

I've noticed many posters like to talk about teams they consider powerhouses--SV, Cove fans vote for their team, etc. I guess you can be a powerhouse and never win a state championship. Judson has both-- several state championships and a powerhouse football program. They will definitely be back in the running next season.

That's 4 D1 teams in the top 7. Also, I would put CyFalls ahead of Lufkin if Katy wins. I only put Plano ahead of Judson because they gave SLC a pretty good game, but Judson moves ahead of them if Katy wins. I think it still could be vastly different if either Katy or SLC gets blown out. I really don't think you could do a legit top 10 untill after the game. CyFalls and SV would fall way off the chart if Katy gets blown out. I think Cove and A&M get in if that is the case. Either way NorthShore stays on the list.

I really do too. If Katy gets past Carroll convincingly, I think you have a legit arguement for Judson moving up. If Carroll crushes Katy it would be difficult to consider Katy in the top 6. If it is a close game and Carroll barely wins, Judson stays at #5. If Katy barely wins Judson stays at #5. I can't see them moving any further down the list simply because by merit, they made it to state.

But it's very frustrating...you get all into the season...They roll on pretty much everybody that is put in front of them...and then they hit that big *** green wall.

As for tommorow I'm going with Katy to win it. I was talking with one of my carroll friends a few weeks ago(non football player) and I said I think plano could upset, but probably won't. lufkin will keep it close but lose by a couple touchdowns(turned out to be 3) & katy will win in a close game both teams scoring in the 20s. I guess we'll see how close(or far off) I am. Good luck to both teams.
