SI gives its greatest football pranks of all time this week - good stuff, here's No. 1 - and the picture in the mag. gives proof it happened.

Harvard vs. Yale -- at Harvard

Several years ago, two Yalies somehow got tickets on the Harvard side and - dressed in Harvard school colors - began handing out colored pieces of cardboard - some white and some red - to the Harvard crowd. They handed the boards out to the fans with the statement - "when we give the signal - hold up your color board, and the entire section will read GO HARVARD." The fans cheerily went along with the idea.

At the signal, the entire section held up their white or red colored cards - and the section spelled out....

WE SUCK

Funniest prank I've ever heard of in my life. Another Yale student captured it on film from the other side.

someone posted a video of them doing this a couple weeks back. it was really funny to watch them go about it.

That is one of the funniest college pranks ever... the video they have on their site is funny.

Dude, that has to be the funniest prank I've seen in a long time.

Some years back a rich UCLA alum hired a helicopter to dump 100 lbs of cow poo on Tommy the Trojan at USC. That had to suck to clean all that up.

Another good prank came from SMU against TCU. During halftime of this game being played at TCU, the SMU band formed "SMU" in the middle of the field. While in this formation, the band members dropped rye grass seed by their feet. In a couple of months, this huge "SMU" had grown on the field of TCU's stadium.
