More people are being killed on our border with Mexico than the Iraq conflict.

It's not Bush's fault, thus Obama won't discuss it.

Our church is going to Mission, Texas next week and they are not going to cross the border. We usually bring supplies and work at an orphanage over there. So, we will work with the church on this side and help build a house for a family. The kids are pretty disappointed about not getting to go over.

yeah but what why would the media want to publicize the need to protect our borders, as opposed to destroying a political rival?

If there are a LOT of mission trips crossing the border, then IMO there are a
LOT of Church Officials that need to be kicked in the head to wake them up.
And YES, I realize you said "to" the border, not crossing it. This was not directed
at you personally, just the idiots that don't think anything will ever happen
to them.
I'm jus' sayin'

You are right. We cannot put the lifes of children and adults in danger by trying to cross. This will be the first year out of 6 in going down that we will not cross. It was a good call by the church. There is plenty to do on this side of the border and that is what we will do. Any church that thinks they can cross and nothing will happen is crazy. I would not let my kids go if they did.

Our group was returning to the area South of Tijuana to build houses, but canceled. Now headed to Tennessee. I was worried about them last year but it went ok.

Our border "war" has been a joke for decades. No one person to blame, but plenty to go around.
AP reports Mex. cartel is now VERY firmly entrenched in Houston.
Does anyone in DC care?..... Not really too much.

Looks like this problem is extending well beyond our borders too. Just read this off of Drudge
