Just watched an interview with State Champ QB Matt Stafford from Highland Park. He said he was headed to U of G. Anyone know how Texas schools let this one get away?

He's been saying them for a while. Maybe he lived there before.

I think his parents went to school at Florida State. His dad had a good relationship with Mark Richt when he was the coordinator there from what I understand. Georgia and FSU were his top two all along.

It also had to do with a girl friend. She is a year older than him and is a freshman at Georgia right now. I think they have broken up, but he still wants to go to school their. With their current QB situation he could get some PT right away by going to school there. Plus it has a lot more to offer than any school in Texas with the exception of ut.

Originally from Georgia and having brothers and sisters being alumni I say yahoooo!! Watched this kid in a playoff game and he his nothing short of a big time STUD. He might get playing time as a freshman but next in line is a kid named Joe Cox. He will be a sophmore and was the North Carolina player of the year as a senior.Georgia has mostly freshmen and sophmore WR'S. Never know he might surprise folks and beat everyone out never know??:D :D :D
