Thoughts? I just got back from the premiere. I thought it was good, but not what they advertised it as. I read the book beforehand, though, so I kinda knew what to expect. Malin Akerman (Laurie in the movie) is smokin'.

I just got back too. The theater there was packed and there was a dude that painted himself blue.
I want to make sweet love to Malin Akerman with Hallelujah playing in the background.

I know, right!?!? I liked the music - it was a nice collection of throwback stuff, including some recognizable tunes like "Ride of the Valkyries", and some other rock n' roll tunes I can't recall right now. I think my favorite music was the music when Dr. Manhattan is alone on Mars and does his weird time-omniscient thingy.

After "Heroes" and "Terminator Salavation", "Watchmen" was the most popular panel at Comic Con last year. I had no clue what it was even though the graphic novel has been on our bookshelf at home for several years. I kept seeing the "Who watches the Watchmen" t-shirts at CC that they gave away at the panel. I liked the shirt but I still had no interest. Still don't. I haven't read a really good review yet.

Just one more taboo broken to pieces;). Judd Apatow got this started - he shows naked men in every movie now - full frontal!! He was saying at Comic Con that if women can bare it, so can men. He's married to that actress that was in Knocked Up (the one that was 'married' to Paul Ruud) and 40 Year Old Virgin (the one that threw up the pink crap tainted with shellfish). Poor girl:D - j/k - he's really funny.

My son has been waiting for this movie for months and he went to the midnight showing. He was not impressed and he said it was LONG - way longer than it needed to be. He told me (because he knows how I am) not to go see it because it is very disturbing at times and violent.
I'll just wait for The Rock in "Race to Witch Mountain". I went to elementary school with the boy in the first movie "Escape to Witch Mountain (Ike Eisenmann). For you native Houstonians, he was the son of Cadet Don. He plays the sheriff in this new one.
Just one more bit of trivial nonsense from yours truly.

Just one more bit of trivial nonsense from yours truly. The book was really long - about 400 pages long - so it would have been very difficult to make it shorter and stay true to the story. There were "disturbing" parts, but nothing outrageous. Nothing violence-wise that you wouldn't see in Saw or Hostel, etc.

I nearly lost my lunch in the first Saw movie and haven't watched any others. If this comic book movie is like that, then no thanks.

Eh, Saw really went downhill. Like, low-budget plastic limbs and red kool-aid. Just watch it. :)

I saw it over my Spring Break. Better than I thought it would be. One of the better soundtracks in a while.
