Is Coach Hughes retiring? Seems kind of young to retire, but I know Plano West Wolf is probably elated.

Apparently there is not much credence to the rumor. Do you have any other info other than "the new coach"?

No, I don't have any more info than what I read at the other website. That's why I was asking. I figured that one of the West fans would be able to contribute some more reliable details. I was a bit shocked at the rumor because I thought Hughes would be at West until a ripe old age. To my knowlege, he was really working on trying to develop something big over there, and I just couldn't see him leaving at this point.

I sure as heck hope it is true.

That way we can get somebody who actually knows how to coach.

I hope they promote Coach Mac if he does retire! He's the brother of Plano's coach and he'd bring intensity, heart and disciple to the table, all things that lacked under Hughes. He coached the O-Line and they've always been good under him. He'd be an excellent hire and I would probably party for a week straight if he were our coach.

Yep. The real world. Luckily for me, I've got the smarts and the motivation to be successful. Then my kids will go to Plano West and not Plano, where those who settle for mediocrity in life send their kids.
