I don't know where they are coming from but how would you like them to officiate the game?
I say if it is obvious and impacts the game, call it. I don't want to see a missed call on a big play, but I don't want them to be nit-picky either. Let the players decide the outcome and not the officials.

Does anyone know where the officals will be from?

Don't they try to pick them from a neutral region. Like Dallas and Houston are playing, so the officials will come from San Antonio, at least I think that is how it works.

Could not be any worse than we have seen this year in general. The resource pool must be drying up.

My standards of referees have lowered this year. I just want the referees to actually know the rules and not lose control of the game. This has not been the case in all but two Carroll games that I have been to this year.

How about region 2 officials for either half and region 4 officials for the other. Or just a mixture of r2 and r4 for the whole game.

We had Houston chapter do our D-1 game over at Round Rock. Missed a touchdown but overall good job. I'm guessing that you guys might have San Antonio ref's. Who knows????:D :D :D :D

For anyone who was at the CF vs Katy game, let's hope the officials can get the spot within 2 yards from where it actually was.:D

My biggest beef is on the interference calls/non calls. It is totally inconsistent across the board.

5A DIV II State Championship Game Officials - Waco Chapter

After this anticipated match-up, if all the fans remember are the fantastic plays and the athletes that made them, then the officials would have done a great job.

I have to agree with D-fan. I saw several games this year where the zebras took forever to figure out the rules before placing the ball or deciding whether or not an infraction has occured.

Also, consistency is the key. Call it both ways. An ill timed holding call or non-call can be huge, as well as an interference call or non-call.

I would like to nominate the following to officiate the game:

Bullrock-anyone with that name cannot be intimidated by the fans
ike- he hasn't had much to do this playoff season
lonny- great send off
svite- he'll rush to a decision..might be wrong..but he won't delay the game
dragon nation- he'll get an upfront close view of the mighty tigers:)
westland- if they get one..we get one
kt champ- welll..we get 2

sorry bwy...you would be too bias to officiate this one:D

i thought they missed the same td 2 plays in a row, but they didn't show replays of the sneak. btw, did anyone else notice the running clock during a second half measurement? must have been running for close to a minute. didn't effect the outcome, but it could have. can't believe the coaches weren't more alert and brought it to the timekeeper's and ref's attention.

That may have been a "mercy" clock:o

I would also just like to see some consistency. Just as long as it is not the crew that did the Plano East game. They did at least one more but I can't remember who SLC played. I just remember some poor calls and the radio announcers mentioning it was the same crew. Hopefully there won't be any offensive and defensive pass interference calls on the same play.

In the 2003 Championship game we had Waco officials reffing the game. They did a good job.
