I vote to let Lonny23 off the hook and let him post. There are too many newbies that don't have too much to say and with only 1 game left; I for one would like him to be released of his bet. I realize he has kept his word and hasn't posted. Maybe the poster who made the bet with him would just release him of that obligation.

I was the one he made a bet with and I have a poll on page 3 that asked if I should enforce the bet, it was voted 60% to enforce the bet. I to am mixed about it and never thought I would miss reading some of his off the wall comments, however seeing how this poll turns out I might consider letting him off the hook. In considering this, I have to be somewhat selfish and ask would anyone say bring farmer back if I lost and I dont think they would. However I will give a lot of thought on the outcome of this poll if I let him off the hook :)

This is a true pick your poison request. Do you let him come back and have him post 5 times a day for the rest of the year - or keep the bet intact -- and he posts nonstop for 3 days:confused:

Lets shoot for a 5 pm deadline.That sounds fair. I know Lonny23 would pick SLC to beat Katy. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt it. He was wrong about Judson and Katy; but he had sound arguements. I would want his insight into the DII championship game because although he can be quite humorous, his knowledge of the game is sound.

Also, it is the last game. He is overseas serving his country. His passion for the game is undeniable. Be charitable it is Christmas time.

I move to allow lonnie to serve his suspensen after this appeal is ajudicated. His insight and lonnisms add to the chatter of the last game of the year week. After all, even pro athelets get to continue playing until the appeal of a suspension is heard and ruled on. I hearby make a motion to allow lonnie the benifit of Kenny Rodgers, who was able to pitch and then serve his suspension when he was not going to play anyway, such that he may post this week and then begin to serve his suspension 1 week after the last game.

But your honor, Lonny is a delicate person. He is in a hostile environment defending our liberty. Without the board he will probably commit some sort of terrible crime. His only escape from reality is 5ATEXASFOOTBALL. And to think this is the last week of competition......you be the judge, jury, and executionist.
The next questions:
1. will Lonny survive this ordeal?
2. how many trees will the world lose as he is making his notes to post when he returns?
3. will the site lock-up when he does return and "catch-up?
4. will this site ever be the same if he commits hari kari because of his exile?
5. is dragons08 and rattler08 taking advantage of his absence and trying to make up ground?
6. what effect will it have on Lonny if #5 comes to pass?

I know you took a leave last week and didn't want to smack with the others. Let me encourage you to smack this final week because we in Katy for the most part will not. You and Bleedgreen are great examples of posters that save the smack when it comes to being homers. As for the rest they either fade away or eat a lot of crow. I have seen some be real gracious about eating crow. Lonny23 is real knowledgable. He takes what is dealt, but sticks to his convictions.

I run my mouth about a lot of stuff, but I'll be the first to say I'm wrong. I was on here as soon as the Trinity game was over. I take a pick your poison approach. I want to give my opinion about stuff, but I'm going to be wrong, especially in a year like this year when I didn't get to see any games.

I've been reading the board and I sent a few PM's, but there hasn't been too many that I wanted to respond to. I haven't been reading the Katy-SLC threads, but I did read Wide's about there being too many threads. I wanted to respond to the Cowboys haters thread and the one last night that got deleted about how bad UT is. HeightsIsWhereIStay got banned over that. I'll go back and give my .02 on a few.

Yeah..I wish I could have snuck away for a minute or two to hang out with all you Katy guys. I was just too damn crowded and me dragging the kids around would have been a major production 'ya know?
We will hook up next season.
It's our turn...me and Pack08 will come to a Katy game.

I rarely talk any smack in regards to the Pack. I save all of that for my Longhorns. The only time I do...it is directed at Longview fans...and even then it's not really smack...but tradition. We have to do that to each other...it's like a law or something.

He was on a rampage the likes of which this board hasn't seen since...well....well...ummm...since I did it. But I wasn't sniffin' glue....just beer...well I wasn't exactly sniffin' beer...I was drinking it.
The only other time he really called you out was when he said it was weak why you were quitting in that thread in October. Hdshrinker posted in that same thread back then, too.
