I know the A&M score was posted, but since this is a weekend tournament featuring five teams in the top 10, it probably needs a thread of its own...

The Big 12 went to 2-0 on Friday with big wins by both Texas A&M and Baylor... let's keep this up Saturday and Sunday and walk out with a 6-0 record for the league!!

Great first day of action at the JuiceBox... marquee game tomorrow... Baylor vs. UCLA... projected first rounder Kendal Volz (Smithson Valley) will take the hill for the Bears... and UCLA freshman sensation Gerrit Cole will take the rubber for the Bruins... should be one heck of a game. If you are in the Houston area, I highly recommend that you make it out to Minute Maid for a great day of baseball.

He's a monster... I had the pleasure of having him on my team for a year when he was a sophmore. He closed the game for the USA National team in the gold medal game against Japan.

Scattered six hits and five walks against 16 strikeouts ... Held opponents to a .130 batting average and posted a 0.786 WHIP,Was named Team USA's third-best pro prospect by Baseball America.

this is the premier tourney in the country. 5/6 in the top 10. pretty salty. it is also in the coldest/windiest indoor stadium i have ever been in.

Baylor knocks off No. 9 UCLA, 5-1. Cool moment in the bottom of the 8th... UCLA's rally was squashed when Baylor turned a 3-6-1 triple play to get out of a jam... great win for the Bears!

It is baseball...midweek losses happen all the time, losses to top 10 teams in their city happen all the time... A&M is a good ball club, maybe not the No. 1 team, but they are surely one of the top 10

I am not sure that I like the new field at the Dish... the Longhorn in CF looks a bit softball-ish and I cannot figure out the purpose of the added lines in the infield

Oregon State can get recruits from California... I understand it is a northern state but it's on the west coast. Nebraska is more mid-west...Lincoln is about as southern as you can get in Nebraska. I'm talking about Wisconsin, Minnesota, New York, Michigan, etc...

Brandon Workman just tossed a No hitter(21st no hitter in Texas History) with 10 ks and defeat Penn St. 9-0. Texas is now 9-0 on the season. We play Texas State next on Tuesday then head to Palo Alto to play Stanford in a 3 game series.
Texas has 3 shut outs this year and has outscored their opponents 49-10 in their first 9 games.

Texas has 3 shut outs this year and has outscored their opponents 49-10 in their first 9 games.
Texas State will be a good game for the Horns this week. They have a potent offense and should contend for their conference title. As for the 9-0 start by Texas, not bad, but not one of the games has been against a quality team. Stanford will be a good test for this team.

Allowing 10 runs in 9 games in NCAA baseball is a hell of a job... Your right our quality of competition hasn't been very good but our pitchers are on fire right now.

Took 7 starters out after the 3rd inning...We hit 5 HR's..
On pace for about 140 HR's and 280 stolen bases as a team this year...:cool:

Could be right...These rankings don't really mean much this early...When conference play starts we'll get a better read..
We will get our first little test on Tuesday(3-3)...Tigers coming to New Orleans to play UNO at Maestri Field...I'll be there....UNO not as strong as they were last year, but still a tough beat...

Actually I'm looking forward to March 11. Then we get to see what the green bears are made out of.
