Rivals put out the top 100 of the class of 2007 and my Owls have three in the top 100 wr/db malcolm williams #9 de marquise frasier #22 and rb/lb johnny wooten #95

four of the top five are suprisingly from 4a schools.

Do you have the entire list or a link to that by chance?

Here are highlight links to 2 of the top RB's in the state. Right now J Reese is rated top RB and J Hicks is rated in the top 100 on Orangebloods. Remember if you want to feature your highlights on Sunshinepreps send tape to address below, we are starting to work on class of 2007

Joseph Reese is a freak of an athlete. He could go as a RB a WR, or a DB, but i think he will excell at what ever he plays. Hell of an athlete. Also Ryan Douglas from Leander, who ranks as number 82 on that list is a physical speciman.

I was hoping Charles was going to be on the list, but he wasn't:(. Oh well, he'll just have to prove his worthiness!

This is also probably the first time in years that there are no SLC players on the list.

And we have the highest ranked 5A player on the list in DT Stephen Thomas. Of course he is our only player on that list, and the only kid from Mesquite for that matter.

It's the state's top 100 out of the class of 2007. Leary may be good enough to be among them, but he is in the class of 2008.

I am pretty sure that they did not have any in the class of 2003.

But it gives some of us hope that we can better compete :o - assuming the realignment efforts keep us in same district ;)

the class of 2003 were members of the 2002 dragon team that went 16-0 and won a state championship in their first year in 5A. That year they also outscored opponents in the regular season by an average of 50-10. That does not bode well to the district opponents

The question at hand is 'next' year.

So, you guys have many seniors graduating this year and the rankings didn't show any Southlake Carroll players on the list for next year - so the point was that you may become more 'normal' in talent pool.

Yes - you guys are 16-0 or 15-1 this year and many of your JV guys have been standing around as the Varsity has been whipping on the teams during this difficult PO window. They will know what Texas Stadium looks like when they go next year.

Just looking for an opportunity to be less dominated - and that could come from a realignment that would put Carroll in with Trinity and HP to battle it out among themselves...

So there is no confusion - opinions are :) :) :)

Just because Carroll does not have anyone on that list does not mean that the team at Carroll will be any worse than the last three years when they had people on that list. Carroll has not had any people on that list and won, and they have lost with people on that list.

and i doubt you'll see any added later, unless kyle russo does well in camps. he needs to work on his speed, and get a little bigger and stronger. arius ford might have been on the list had he played any this year.

What makes me mad is that #13 Gilbert Moye won't be able to play until the 5th week of the '06 season. The UIL ruled that he was inelgible after he transfered to Diboll,Tx from Jasper after Hurricane Rita.

Actually, I kind of prefer it that way. I would not want to have a RB expected to be one of the best, and then not be as good as everyone expected. Just like Moody, he didn't turn out the way most expected. Don't get me wrong, he's good and all, but I don't think that he was the state's #1 RB.

How could Jeremey Claybon from Lufkin not be on this list?

Statman/NS

Vance Fizer is good for NS, but we have at least 3 or 4 others that should be on that list. Ganious, Jones, etc....

Dare I ask - is No. 39 - Nic Pozderak from Carrollton Newman Smith - the son of former Cowboy ol - Phil "false start" Pozderak?
