3 pounds feeds 4? BULL.

That's .75 pounds of food for each person, lots of it carbohydrates with a little vegetables and meat mixed in. I don't know about you, but if I eat every scrap of a full 12 oz. steak (after cooking), I feel pretty damn full, even without sides. I don't eat that kind of meal every day. If you are eating more than .75 pounds of at a sitting on a regular basis then you are eating seriously badly. The fact that lots of people in the U.S. don't think 3 pounds of food should feed four speaks VOLUMES. As a matter of fact, if you are eating 3/4 lb of a lasagne on a regular basis, then you are a lard-butt.

My kid and I had dinner at Jin's at Northgate last night before going to the HS bball game at Bryan. I had a plate of Pad Thai Noodles and shrimp. Pretty sure that was over 0.75 lbs. Granted it was the only meal I had that day.

You can add Tex-Mex food in that statement. Especially the lard laden refried beans and greasy tortilla chips.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! :D
