Iowa St and Colorado are winnable, but we'll have to play one heck of a lot better to stand a chance against Mizzou. If we could get to 8-8 in conference before the Big XII tourney and play strong in OK City, we might squeeze ourselves into the big dance. Or if we beat Mizzou, end up at 9-7, and play respectably in the Big XII tourney, I think we get in.

The thing is, everyone thinks the Big 12 is down this year... so I think a team needs to do more than 8-8 and a nice Big 12 run to squeak in... what really hurts A&M is the lack of a quality road win (sorry, Nebraska doesn't count). However, the LSU win (although I think the SEC is awful) is looking better and better each day.

The thing is, everyone thinks the Big 12 is down this year... so I think a team needs to do more than 8-8 and a nice Big 12 run to squeak in... what really hurts A&M is the lack of a quality road win (sorry, Nebraska doesn't count). Yeah, the road game against OU would have paid dividends.

We'll see what happens. At Bama wasn't BAD... Any road win in the Big XII is a good win. Our RPI is like 34 now, so we'll see where that takes us. If we can beat Mizzou (assuming we don't lose to Iowa State or Colorado), we're in. If we don't beat Mizzou, I think it'll take one (maybe two) wins in the Big XII tournament.

Plus, the committee will say it doesn't matter, but our wins in the past NCAA tournaments will speak volumes. They will look and see A&M has always won first round games and that will help I'm hoping.

I think that if we have wins over 3 teams who are now ranked and we are 9-7, they would have to consider us.
