This has been long over due...Emmitt should never ever have a speaking part on any show...He should have a show where he just stands there and says nothing to anyone. I would pay to see that show.

Well ok...Not really, but you get the point..He should never be on a show where he is required to speak...He was one hell of a player, but is one of the worst speaking people I have ever heard in my life.

It's really not uncommon to totally botch sayings like Emmitt does - I worked with a guy that could not get one correct to save his life - you just can't do it on national TV!

Emmitt always comes across as an everyday guy living in a primadonna's world. I could very well picture him sitting on the back porch with us drinking beer and playing dominoes more than I see him on TV in his suit trying to be all sophisticated. unlike some dumb jocks, you know Emmitt has the intelligence, he just doesn't have the knack for spewing poetry on cue...

he will always be one of my favorite Cowboys and all-around favorite players.

Yeah - he'd almost be better on radio or somewhere else laid back. ESPN is too much "give us your best take in 4 seconds as you smile at the camera".

Emmitt was a hard worker as a player. He will need to pay his dues before he comes back in this role. The present version was hard to listen to. I bet if he wants it bad enough he can learn the trade and polish up his communication skills and come back strong. The only question is if he really wants to do this.

Caliendo is great, but he can only do some of the Madden impressions. Madden is greatness for hours of non stop Maddenisms.

Madden keeps it real and, since he's been around alot longer than the other commentators, he's more polished and experienced for the job. That, and being a coach for a championship team, or 2, helps also.
