I believe it's field turf (astroplay), but don't hold me to that.

I see the Houston team being greatly outnumbered next week. Too bad you couldn't arrange to play it at SFA. That way it would be hard to get outnumbered.

Last year during the state title game, Carroll's fans wrapped around both endzones, they had roughly 13 sections full. They always bring a Army to TX Stadium. I expect them to be louder this week than any week ever. I also look forward to seeing Katy come to Tx Stadium for the 1st time.

surprisingly enough, it can be very cold. watch the weather and bring a little extra, and sit on the blanket if it isn't needed. not any wind since they built the sky boxes several years ago.

The extended forecast is saying partly cloudy, with a high of 64..should be just about perfect football weather!

That reminds me of the 97 Odessa/Duncanville game. I was sitting in front of this old fart who was a *****. He was from Duncanville and at one point grabbed me and tried to force me to sit down cause he could not see when I was standing, I was 16 at the time and my buddies dad turned around and about knocked him out. However at the start of the 4th quarter he made quite possibly the funniest comment I ever heard, he said, "alright, we have the wind at our back now" this game was at TX Stadium. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. The people around him even started laughing, the sad thing is he was dead serious.

That is funny, but I never laughed so hard when this guy was trying to explain to me that the referees have a conspiracy against Carroll in the Abilene game at halftime. They were leading I think 38-0 at that point. I never laughed so hard.
