With finals ending for most former SLC Alumni..i expect a lot of former players from the 2003 team to be attending this game. Coach Dodge always speaks about how the dragon has an extended dragon family..the fact that you may graduate but your never out of hte dragon family. Well this one isnt just for another state title, a chance at another national title, and another ring. This is pay back...this is to show EVERYONE out there that what happened in 2003 was a fluke. Its to show how powerful the dragons really are. Its for all of us former players. A lot of emotion will be poured out by the Dragons in this one
SLC 35
Katy17(no points in 2nd half)
side note...McKay Jacobsen will be playing in his 4th state title game

WOW, I guess I better not even waste my money and attend this one. I was at the 2003 Title game and it was not a fluke.
Lets see there was a Safety, a missed field goal (I know that is why we won)(we have listened to that excuse for 2 years now), an absolutley amazing interception, and even more amazing pass from Johnston to Mouton (MOOOOO) for a touchdown. Those are only a few of the Highlights, but if you would like a copy of the game I have one. I will send you a copy to give you a little insight on that Fluke.
I know most of the SLC posters have a lot more class then this one does, thank god. We all have a least one pompas A$$ as a fan, but get real.
Good luck to both teams, looking forward to the game. Christmas time with RED and Green always looks good.

After all of these weeks, time after time teams say we are "overated", and untested, and we have no chance against R4teams, and yet we prevailed. And once again your not even gonna give us a chance??? Can we have a little respect?

It's almost like Carroll, Lufkin, SV and Katy are in the same district..we play each other every year, get familiar with the fans, the stadiums....nothing like it anywhere! Looking forward to a great week & a great game. Maybe we should all be more tolerant this week, because there are going to be knuckleheads trying to flame, and we all know it.

Still, that's some pretty rare air he's breathing. I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone else to have suited up for four consecutive championship games. Maybe someone fron Sealy or Celena

never been done in 5A because this is the first time that a team made it to 4 straight 5A title games

that's a unique situation for a 5a player for sure. certainly, if any one deserves this honor, it's mckay. he has been the bulwark of the dragons this year and a leader for several more. great kid.

i don't know names, but two guys from sealy have 4 state champ rings, '97, '96, '95, '94. No not been done at 5a level. (katy has earned the spot in 4 straight title games '97-00 (remember '98 we got crapped on by UIL and ineligible player)
Yes, MJ is in a class all by himself, but it's a team that wins a title, not individuals.
