Lionell Crawford (former Aldine QB '86-'87 and coach and current North Forest HC) was introduced as the new Aldine HC at last night's Aldine ISD school board meeting. He had lots of people there supporting him including former Aldine HC Bill Smith.

Anyone heard what the hold up is for the MacArthur job, you'd think they would have announced that one as well.

Wish all the best for Coach Crawford. Hope he can turn things around at Aldine. As for Mac, rumor as it that the top 4 canidates turned down the job. Starting the search over. I am trying to verify.

As in, the top 4 people who actually applied turned it down when it was finally offered? Wow!

Again, why did they get rid of Drones (Tom Landry award winner)????????? AISD's hiring stratagy is pretty strange! Who is running the show over there?

I feel bad for NFISD... You will have a lot of trouble getting a coach to go to NFISD....knowing that a good majority of those kids will eventually leave for Mac, Nimitz, Summer Creek, and Humble High School

Coach Drones is a good guy, but unfortunately, they don't make HR decisions based on who is likeable. If that were the case, this site would be more popular because we'd all be unemployed and bored at home.

I don't think NFISD is going to be around come the beginning of the season. I have heard word that Humble ISD is expecting to redraw the lines again this year....in anticipation for insolvency of NFISD... Humble may very well gain ground they lost, plus some.

This and hearing the Crawford bailed is interesting to me...
