Saturday nite I was gaming and my fone starts ringing. It was my sis-n-law. So I answer wonding what my brother had done to get her mad this time. Well, the good news is that my brother was behaving for once. The bad news:

My best friend growing up, Kevin. Me and this dood were into everything. From 4th grade until I got married he and I hung out all the time. After I got married and he got hooked on Meth, we quit hanging out. but I'd still run into him sometimes around town.
Well, he and his girlfriend were fighting about something. She pulls a .44 and shoots him point blank range in the leg. It bullet damn near tore his leg off. They had to remove his leg just above the knee. So now, dood is 35 years old and will have to go around the rest of his life with one leg. Over a bulls:Censor: fight with his old lady.

That's crap. And now you all know what happened to Kevin and how I feel about it.

Wow sorry to hear that...but has she pulled out a gun on him before or should i say have fights like this before?...if so they should have broken up a long time ago so it wouldnt have come to this

I havent talked to Kevin in a couple of years. But from what I understand, this is the same chick he's been with since forever ago. I know they've both been in and out of addiction problems for years. But that I know of, they've never been violent with each other or anyone else.

It seems like so many of my peeps from way back have had this sort of thing happen. Or not this kind of thing. but bad things. jail. dead. hurt real bad. on drugs. gawd...

If it had been as simple as that, I certainly woulda done it. I had my own brother hooked on meth that I was trying to deal with. Plus I was into my own crap back then too. Just not meth.

Fortuntatly I learned my lesson and got away from the bulk of that kind of thing.

Yep. No brother, but certainly can relate this to my experience.

Telling others what to do seems very easy in hindsight or when someone else tells a story. Not necessarily when you are at a bar or someone watched the game at a buddy's house and had a couple more than the law allows. Not fall down stupid but anything over .08. I am guilty many times of watching someone leave and not doing anything.

Also, to seeing some god people do some other very dumb things.
