I have 10 days to take and plan on using them all at the same time. Stupid I know but I have a huge March lined up and plan on spending like a wild a single man should.
Here are the choices I have in mind

Atlanta/Charlotte/Charleston

I like Odessa. In all seriousness man, some of the best looking women I saw at UNT came from the Odessa/Mitlan area. Yes there were plenty of good looking women at UNT too.

NY/Boston is actually tops on the list. But you know me and any chance I can get, I want to go to Georgia too.
I have never been to the upper NW and have always wanted to go. I just dont know man. I should have a very nice cash flow coming my way when I take siad trup too

In all seriousness--- you should jet out of the country, man. If I had ten days and the money for a plane ticket(s), I would head south to Antigua and poke around Guatemala for a while. It's a beautiful country and is only a few hours flight from Houston or Dallas and the ticket is no more expensive than one to the east or west coasts. Your dollar will go farther than any of those other places, too.

As for the wildness, you should know that by May the summer language school will be in full swing in Antigua. Young people and students from all over the U.S. and Europe go to Antigua for their language school and the nightlife is hopping. A lot of the European airlines send their stewardesses down there for language training for the S.American routes. And if you have flown European airlines, you know that their stewardesses are still hot. f

The Permian basin is full of hotness. Many of the most smoking coeds at ACU were from Odessa/Midland/Monahans/Andrews.....

Thanks for the input bird. My goal was to take atrip to catch a MLB game somewhere then venture out into the wild and grow a beard and find abear or something. But I will consider the thought. I have never been out of the country before and I always wanted my first trip to be to Germany.

Thanks for the backup. I would argue that the hottest girls in Texas come from the Permian basin. The girls I have seen from the Permian basin equl and in some cases surpass the hotness of Georgia

Well, if you are willing to be flexible about the MLB game, then do it. Seriously. Ten days is a long freaking time, my first trip to Italy was only 11 and I saw a hell of a lot And you can find good deals. You'd really be surprised. I buy tickets for various people at my work coming and going from all sorts of places and you should be able to get a flight to Frankfurt for a couple c-spots more than one to NY or Vancouver for sure. Or you can fly into London and take the chunnel train to France, then get a Eurorail pass into Germany. Hit up the interwebs and get an economy class ticket and book time at hostels or something. You won't regret it.

Now that is a thought. I'm ahuge transportation dork and I love trains. Germany profected the train but the other Euro nations have done well to adapt. I will seriously look into it. I want to take a trip to where I could take in all of Germany. Start off in Prussia and see the likes of Berlin and what Frederick the Great did all the way down to Bavaria and Austria to laugh at how Bismarck was able to finally suck them into the German nation State being unified in 1870. I want to test the Munich and Berlin train system out too. Maybe I'll take a year and forgo my MLB fascination to get caught up on the rest of the world :D Man Im starting to type better with age and vodka ;)

Dare we say the best looking women in Texas do not hail from the D'FDUB or Houston or Austin or SA but from the places of Abilene and West and Northwest?

Flights out of D/FW into Frankfurt as low as 550 on Orbitz right now if you are willing to make one stop. Took the liberty of looking it up for you. I don't know how the Euro will be vs. the dollar, but it has gotten better.

I say go. You'll have a great time and a Eurail pass is one of the world's better transportation deals:

If picking from that list above, go with Seattle/Vancouver. Great music, scenery, and seafood. However I'd also suggest sometime taking a trip to Prague (Czech Republic), Munich (Germany), and Salzburg (Austria). Prague has amazing architecture and the castle is really cool to check out. Munich has a lot of history and also gives you a taste of modern euro culture. Salzburg has beautiful surroundings, is right on a wonderful river (the name escapes me), is the birthplace of Mozart (there's a museum in his home) and there are plenty of touristy places around as well.

That is an EPIC euro-trip.

Because Americans are slashing their spending and one of the easiest things to slash is that trip to Europe. Already hot vacation spots in the U.S. are reporting collapsing revenue. Economies in Asia are doing even worse and that is the other main place Eurotourists come from. They will be praying that the Chinese will pick up the slack, but it isn't going to happen.

I'd def. book early and no matter what happens, the summer season is going to be slow and there will be more deals out there once you get there. People usually plan their European trips well in advance and so it's already clear that traffic is going to be way down. Fuel costs are down, too.

That sounds like an awesome trip to me, I'd go with you if I could. Look around for a couple weeks for good deals and if you think your checkbook can handle the hit, I say go for it. You won't forget it.

And if you really just want to see Germany, there are some pretty cheap flights from DFW to Frankfurt, I posted them on the last page. From about 500. That's damn good.

Thanks again man. I think I'll look for the option to fly into London and take the channel I love tains and would love to travel under the Channel. Ill take the train from there into Germany and experience the great technolgy of Seimens, BSFS, Aspirin and the others that made German into the 1st Modern day Power of Europe. I would love to take such trip with you or Dr M from UNT but I know you all have better things to do. Dr M, which is short for Dr. Mierzejewski, and he is an expert on Germany and the train system during WW2 would make this trip all the more worth while. Dr M should have been named Chair to the UNT History department after Dr Adrian Lewis left this past year but his political view didnt allow that. They did give it to a UT hater thought, Dr McCasslin which I have no argument against.
Thanks again Bird and sorry for the added UNT History Dpt dramma ;)
