That is 1 hell of a road to state you have traveled our Dragon friends. Very impressive.

Tells us Tigers what to do and where to go on a Friday evening in Irving. A lot of us will be arriving Friday afternoon. After a little rest; will want to check things out. Something like the Riverwalk in San Antonio? Please make suggestions. I remember a great time with ya'll in S.A. in 2003. Good to be back at the show with you.

I would head over to dallas or fort worth. Not as fun as SA but still a decent party spot.

Ft Worth over Dallas anyday of the week. Sundance square is awesome. However if any Katy fans would like to venture up to Denton, let me know, i'll buy any of yall a drink and would love to discuss some football, that goes for Dragon fans as well.

At the stockyards, it would be Joe T. Garcias for great mexican food. And in Dallas, try the West End Historic District. They've got it all.

Just stay away from Lower Greenville, I have spent more money on beer in those bars than I have on anything else. If you go to Dallas, hit up Deep Ellum, its a lot of fun and some great music.

Last time I checked, Nate was a grown man and could defend himself. Thug, maybe you aren't aware of the stupid things the man has done in recent history?

Joe T's is the best in North Texas. Only El Patio on The Drag in Austin matches it. Be sure to bring cash to Joe T's--they don't take credit cards, but they do welcome folks from the Houston area. (I lived down there for twenty years and they let me in.)

i would definitely NOT hang around irving. the Gaylord up by Grapevine Mills would be a good place. Kind of pricey...but lots of restaurants, and a mini-riverwalk like san antonio for you katy people to hang out. the rooms are quite pricey also i would imagine, but if a lot of ppl were there i'd imagine that'd be quite fun. Downtown Fort Worth is really nice, but sort of far from TS. Nothing quite compares to the real riverwalk in san antonio...

Compared to Dallas, Ft Woth kicks @ss. Thre are much better than those two cities in this state, however Dallas has nothing on Ft Worth. Dallas is the most boring of the major cities in this country.

I will not argue with anything in your post. One time I went to the west end, another to Greenville, Then I wrote off Dallas completely.

You could add everything you said to my experience in dallas, except that I got a freaking traffic ticket from a BIKE COP, a freaking BIKE COP gave me a ticket for not coming to a complete stop on a typical dead street. I really hate Dallas, its not even funny how much I hate that city, nothing good ever happens when I'm there, I've learned and moved onto Ft Worth, Im much happier there.

I remember almost getting a ticket from a bike cop in San Antonio for passing a horse carriage. She told me that I would have gotten a ticket if she was not writing another ticket to somebody else for doing the same thing. I just said ok, and continued, but that is not what I wanted to say. I also heard that Texas vs. OU weekend is really fun in downtown Dallas, but I think that is because those in Oklahoma have it even worse than Dallas. I am not much into the $6 drink scene.

hell no. the only place i'll pay $6 for a beer is at a ball game. Im even skeptical to do it then, but I still manage to buy a few. At the Railhead in Colleyville, the waitresses have shirts that say, "Life is to short to live in Dallas", truer words were never spoken.

there is one great place in dallas. in west end a restaurant named dicks last resort. The waiters make fun of you and do completely random things. One time, I finished a coke rather quickly, so the waitress brought me out a pitcher and a handful of straws. Another time I had a diet coke and the waitress asked if i had diabetes. It's fun to be a smartass to them because they do it to you. Great place for lunch.

Not much in Irving - should probably head towards Dallas, or if you would like to see what Southlake is like, we have a really nice Town Center on Southlake Blvd with Restauraunts, Shops etc . . . otherwise, the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine is HUGE with lots to see around Christmas time.

Downtown Dallas has some stuff going on during Christmas as well. But hell - while you're in the area, check out Southlake! Only 15-20 mins from Texas Stadium...
