The Byrnes High School football schedule for the fall is almost complete, but District 5 athletic director Bobby Bentley said he is still looking for one more game.
He said the Rebels have agreed to play at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, the No. 1 team in the final USA Today Super 25 poll in the fall, out of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The game would be played in Florida on Oct. 2 or 3 on ESPN. Bentley said the district has agreed to the game but the contract hasn’t been signed.
Bentley said the school also agreed to a three-year deal to play Myrtle Beach, with Byrnes getting two home games out of the series. The two teams will play Sept. 4.
