For the OOS game lovers...Doesn't involved Texans or Cajuns, but interesting just the same...Just waiting on the contracts to be signed sounds like....

The Byrnes High School football schedule for the fall is almost complete, but District 5 athletic director Bobby Bentley said he is still looking for one more game.

He said the Rebels have agreed to play at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, the No. 1 team in the final USA Today Super 25 poll in the fall, out of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The game would be played in Florida on Oct. 2 or 3 on ESPN. Bentley said the district has agreed to the game but the contract hasn’t been signed.

Bentley said the school also agreed to a three-year deal to play Myrtle Beach, with Byrnes getting two home games out of the series. The two teams will play Sept. 4.

I wonder how many D-1 prospects will be on the field at the same time. Should be a slobberknocker.

The two Byrnes D ends could very well BOTH end up being 5 star prospects. I'm sure they could have the best d line in the country by themselves.

RB Marcus Lattimore (Byrnes) could very well be one of the Nation's Top 5 prospects this coming year, IF not #1....I know we want him at LSU...

I hope he rushes for 350 yards and scores 5 TD's against STA..

He's not even on the 10 5 stars to watch, I seriously doubt he'll be number 1 in the nation. That being said, Lattimore is a STUD who I think is a sure-fire 5 star and could be better than Trent.

Damn. I was hoping Aquinas would be coming to Katy to fill the Cy Bay spot. Long shot, I know, but a boy can dream.

I see St.A's taking this one. They play a little more better execution wise. Byrnes is not crisp at all in their passing game.
Good stuff...That'll be a nice matchup.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, BUT

De La Salle, California vs Lakeland, Florida (confirmed)
The game against Lakeland, scheduled for Sept. 26 at a Bay Area site to be determined, will be nationally televised on ESPNU.

De La Salle, California vs Don Bosco, New Jersey (confirmed)

The Spartans will be traveling to New Jersey for a rematch with now three-time defending state champion Don Bosco-Ramsey. But the Ironmen, who beat the Spartans 23-21 at Owen Owens Field last September, won't be the only national power on the schedule. The new team on the schedule is Lakeland (Fla.), mythical national champion in 2005 and 2006 and the 2008 5A state runner-up.

I guess anything could happen between now and then though...

Damn De La Salle...They owe us a game and until they pay up I will reluctantly root for Lakeland.
