After a bitter week of the Div. 1 state championship preview alot of word spread around about the oh so good CJ defense. ET brong there A game and played there best all year, totally dominated the CJ defense. The score should have been 42-7 but costly errors did rack up landing the trojans behind 14-0 in the first half. Attn. LONNY you might need to rethink your game previews and chew on that crow for a little bit with yout 8,000+ posts.

Yeah, that's a real classy thing to say moron. Trinity won cause they snapped out of that 4 hour drive after that 1st quarter. Great win for the Trojans. And they didn't dominate the Rocket defense. 28-14 isn't dominating.

Yeah I wouldn't get big headed trinity you beat a team that was 10-4 and they were tied with you at the half so don't say you dominated, Just remember the 92 state game fellows when Judson beat Trinity 52-0 now that was domination in that game. and oh Trinity fan how many state titles have you guys won in the last 22yrs Oh one, count the one's Judson has won you had a great team this year but do it year in and year out like judson does and then you might have a leg to stand on.

Sorry guys, after watching the game - start to finish - I conclude CJ wasn't much of a test for Trinity. If you take away a dropped ball on a go-ahead score - and the "touchdown" on the final play of the game - ET should have won this one, 42-7. And had they'd been given another qt they could of scored 56 or 63. Sorry man....I have no bias towards any program, it just didn't seem like much of a game, too me.

If Westfield wouldn't of had 4 starters out last week...and of course if BEASELY hadn't of been injured - in the first half - I think they would of beaten CJ and played against ET, today. You wanna hear a shocker?!...I think Westfield would have beaten ET. (Or at least they would of had a better chance to beat them!)

Congrats on both teams accomplishments!!

Spin, spin, spin....CJ should be named the Spiders.....You LOST. The toughest district in the state went down 0-2. No matter what you say, you didn't win the game today. I remember 2003, when the can't be beat SC Buffs got wiped out, you SA area guys did the same type of spinning. You can downgrade the Houston area teams all you want, but you have the valley schools, and they're really a load.... Have a good winter, mates....

I think a**hole best describes go hawgs go.. Nothing worse then someone from Plano claiming another team. Good Luck next year? Us? You better worry about Trinity and Plano. It will be another 10 or 11 years before you make another long run. Judson was there in 2002 and before that 1998. We will see how long it takes before Trinity is back. Since they were there last in 1992 we have been back 6 times. Haka was a joke and we couldn't help but laugh. But Trinity was impressive. Better relish this one cause it might be a while before you guys can make it back. Judson will be back and history proves it.

What makes you think Trinity is a one-hit-wonder? Frankly, I would rank the '05 Trinity team with, but not above, the '82, '98 and '01 teams. And I'll throw in the '79, '81, '86, '93, and '04 teams for good measure. The point is that the Trojan program has produced strong teams for decades; the only difference is that they now have coaches who know how to win the big game. Trinity is now a member of the club, and what they do from here is anyone’s guess. I'm not predicting that Trinity will become the next SLC, but I think they could be in the hunt on a regular basis, and a CJ vs. ET rematch in the next few years is not a crazy possibility.

As for Judson, the success of the program speaks for itself. As long as Judson's attendance figures remain the same, the school will be a power for a long time; or maybe not.

I know losing sucks, but in years to come Judson's players will look back with pride at the things they accomplished this year. They overcame a rocky season, turned it on in the playoffs when it counts, beat a nationally ranked team, and played a powerful Trinity team with class and determination. Not bad for an "off" year.

Congrats to Trinity. I really thought Judson was going to pull this one out. I knew it was a long shot but after beating Westfield I thought they had what it took. Trinity had/has a very good football team and should be very proud of it. No one knows what is in store for next season..Trinity might just win it again..or maybe Judson will....We will all just have to wait and see.

As for this guy:

The toughest district in the state went down 0-2.

Not a bad week in the State Finals and Semi-finals. Not sure what you are trying to do....maybe trying to make yourself feel better about your team that got beat a few weeks ago...But Ill take 2 teams from our district in the finals and semi's every year..which is what its pretty much been the past few years. And dont worry about saying how weak region 4 is Ill say it for you.."you guys play the valley" ok there I said it. Facts are facts and SV and Judson are getting to the semi's and Finals because they are good. and playing the valley doesnt have anything to do with that!!

Congrats to the Converse Judson Rockets for a good year. I know that I had my doubts about them but they showed that they are truely an elite program in the state of Texas and will continue to be a force for years to come!!!

Now its time for us Div 1 guys to set our thoughts and sights on next year and get ready to do it all over again...anyone wanna bet Churchill is in the top 10 again next year? lol

Loved the "You Can't Score Without A Trojan" painted on the back of a car. Made me chuckle after the game. Seriously though, what do you feed these boys up there? I saw a few students/fans leaving the stadium that would have not only been bigger than any Judson player on this years team, they might have been bigger than any in it's history! And the wierd thing is, every Tongan (not sure if that is PC) I saw was smoking. Is that a cultural thing?

Congrats to ET. Rockets came out like gang busters, but Trinity settled in, kept their composure and stuck with their game plan. The Rockets did a good job in holding ET to 28 points. Trinity did a great job of converting in tough 3rd down situations on all of your TD drives. I was more impressed with the QB than Nance. After almost throwing 3 interceptions, he maintain his composure and threw some great passes and had the smarts to throw the ball away on three occasions when he could have been tackled for a loss. Again, congrats on your first state championship in football. It's something your kids, coaches & fans will cherish even more in the coming years.

I'm a new transplant onto this site...but I'm giving it up for the Judson fans on here, they back their team through thick and thin, but you can't call them cowards. Props to Lonny for sticking around and taking his licks like a man. He's got me in his corner for that alone. Judson is one of the great programs of the state. I think they played fantastic through a real tough playoff draw that included a nationaly ranked Westfield team. And if we hadn't lossed to SGP, we'd have been number two. This was the best rush defense we'd seen all year. did you notice our rushing numbers? Lowest of the year. This is not the same team that lost to SGP. There was no panic when the boys got down. They stayed composed and took care of the football. Judson made us earn every yard we got. Just want to say onemore time "much love to the boys, for bringing the trophy to Euless".

No we beat the "team of destiny." We beat Rocket Pride isn't that Judson was being referred to. It should of been 42-7 but I honestly wouldn't of cared if it was by half a point. With a ton of respect for Judson's tradition, history, and program all that matters is right now, and the KT's putting that Trojan on the site header, by the way Trinity has been doing if for a long time, this doesn't validate Trinity's program, its simply has solidified Trinity's program :D :D :D :D !

Then I just might have to pull out my Plano trophy bag and show you our 7 to your 5 state championships.:D

.

It doesn't matter how many state titles you have. What matters is that the program is in the hunt for one year after year. Then you can bring up all the state trophies you have. What good do trophies do you if the last one you got was 10 or 20 years ago? Judson is always in the thick of things. Since 1982. 2 title game appearances in the 80's, 6 in the 90's and 2 already in the 2000's. All in the states largest classification. Can Plano say the same ? Can anyone in the state say the same thing? I doubt it. It is all about consistency. VHi has a great show featuring one hit wonders. Only time will tell if Trinity will join that bunch.
