2:10 Left in the Half and Trinity converts on 4th and 10 from the 28 yard line....That was HUGE...Judson would of held they would go into the Half with the lead 14-7....instead Trinity goes on to score giving the Trinity the big Momentum !!!! tied 14-14....

I think it was just a matter of when they were going to take the lead. They had too much offense for Judson.

And don't forget about that TRINITY DEFENSE!!!!

I saw a Trinity defense that played very well yesterday in the title game. But I have to tell you, that Judson offense looked very tame and lame. Let's be honest, CoJu's offense wouldn't scare anyone. They were in that game because they came together at a great time in the season and their defense was very good. Holding ET to 28 points is no easy task. Of course, I know that ET was on like the 1 inch line at the end of the game and could have scored again but the Judson D was tired. Kudos to both teams for a great season and final game. ;)

Even though the Trojan offense ended on the one, how easy would it have been for the defense to allow them to get in? They had 2 or 3 tries. The game was decided and a score wouldn't do Trinity any good, but it really wouldn't have hurt Judson either. The Rockets fought till the end.

Judson came into the game knowing they would have to stop the run to have a chance. Trinity came with a great game plan. Run the ball straight at Judson because of the size differential up front and the play action passes. Judson's defensive line is good, bu they are small. They are very technically sound and quick, but getting pounded on by 300 lbs of Tongan all day wore them out. Trinity did the right thing by running straight at them, instead of trying to run around them. Judson had to roll up their safety in run support and when they did, Trinity went to play action, wheeling the fullback out of the backfield. It was a great offensive game plan by Trinity. Judson has nothing to hang their heads about they fought until the bitter end. They will be back. Good Job Rockets, Congradulations Trinity. You guys both played with a alot of passion and class. It is good to see that.

I thought the punt in side the 1 yrd line was the turning point. I used to think the "field position game" was overrated. But you really saw the effects of that in this title game. It seemed Trinity started every drive from that point on at the 50.

There also was some suspect play calling on CJ's part. But that's the way the cookie crumbles...Great season to both!

Couldha, shoudha, wouldha's all in this game

Couldha - played better on offense, special teams, Not covering the punt of couple of times cost us field position.

Wouldha's - been a better game, if we had a better offensive team, the weakest Offensive team that we had in the state championship.

Shoulda - Lost by 35-7 that is just the fact, we forget that the kid droppped the ball on the 1 yard line, without being hit.

All in all it was a great year, and as I was sitting by a good friend at the game, and he turned and said to me , that being a modest 10-4 at the time, and the way we played that we are dangerous. Oh well this year fininshed better than I would of tought in week 7 so my hats off to everyone involved.

Not just Judson. I have felt all year that ET was too much for anybody once they get rolling. With a line like that and an awesome back like Nance, these kids can keep anybody elses O on the sideline. Tough to score on a tean when your O is spectating from the bench.

The way I look at these post about 98% of you Judson fans really have class. I know getting beat is hard to take look at us for the past upteen years. You folks have a great team down there. I just watched the replay of the whole game. It was a real scrapfest for a while. Keep up these good post and once again CLASS ACT Judson!!! PEACE AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!:D :D :D

A few additional thoughts with a full 48 hours+ since the final verdict.

Judson, as good as the defense was playing from the start of the season, was not getting the turnovers in those first eight games, in addition to committing their share on offense. They cut down on the offensive TO's, and the defense started collecting an average of 3 to 4 in each subsequent game leading up to last Saturday's Final Exam with ET. They only got one (and a very impressive one at that) with ET. That says something about how fundamentally sound ET was. Significantly, considering the nevertheless marginal status of Judson's improving offense, that offense had only one TO. I'll repeat something I mentioned on Saturday night, namely, that Judson's offense may have actually played their best game of the season, given that the chances realistically were pretty good going in that ET was maybe going to turn up the heat and yield 5 FD's and little more than 100 yards. Bouldin seems to be coming into his own, and has something to build on going into next season---I thought he put some real good moves on the ET defense at times. But the ET defense took care of business like a champion does: They got the INT in the endzone and they also stopped Judson by not much more than an inch on 4th down, all this when that marginal Judson offense could have easily cratered after going down 20-14 and then 28-14, but instead made two respectable forays deep into ET territory. Considering the game wasn't all that close in the end, it really was a classic matchup that I'll forever have fond memories of----HEY! HEY! vs HaKa.

Very well played game by both teams, I'm happy for ET and proud of my Rockets who played their hearts out, it just wasn't meant to be. When they went up 14-0 that truly showed their courage in a game that should have been not neccesarily a blowout, but decided by more. Thanks for a great, exciting, and most of all, unpredictable season CoJu.

ET - congrats on the win and enjoy the holidays, spring training is just around the corner:D

PS I still think Judson needs to get some tighter jersies, there is way too much to hold on to when they were getting tackled, you'd think they would've addressed that by now.
