Oilers vs Bills in '93. I just watched it on YouTube. If today's replays were in effect back then the comeback would have never happened. When the Bills were mounting their comeback Moon just lost all composure and choked. I felt that playoff game would keep him out of the Hall of Fame. He didn't have the qualities of a championship QB. He just racked up a ton of yards.
I remember watching that game. I wanted to annoy my grandma so I was rooting for the Bills while the rest of the family was for the Oilers. Haha, go me. :D

We will never speak of this game again... :p :p
(Although I am a fan of the Cowboys first and foremost, I did cheer for the Oilers and wanted them to play the Cowboys in the SuperBowl.
To this day...I can't believe they lost that damn game. How do they blow a 32 point lead? How?!! )
Still bitter.

I'm well past the pain. It's just interesting to me now.

I also remember watching every snap in that game. Painful to watch, at least back then, but I wasn't totally surprised it happened. It was the Oilers after all and they were known for choking. It wasn't just Moon who lost composure, but almost the entire team IMO. With a 32pt lead, all the defense needed was a few stops and they would've won.

And the offense a few first downs to kill time off the clock. The first TD by Bebe was illegal since he stepped out of bounds, came back on the field of play, caught the ball and ran it in for the score. On the Oilers first drive in O.T. Givens was interfered with on a first down pass that was ultimately intercepted. Yes the defense choked but the replay system today would have prevented that comeback.

every play the oilers ran in the second seemed to be a pass. had idiot oc run the ball every play, the oilers win. instead they fired the db coach. oilers=losers par excelance

So, who would the Cowboys have destroyed in the SB if not the Bills? :D
I remember that day like it was yesterday....remember what I was doing....I had just joined the army.....went home on leave,,,had to report back on that day....watched the first half at Houston Intercontinental Airport.........landed in St. Louis and the pilot came over the pa "Welcome to St. Louis...enjoy your stay....and for you Houston fans.....I feel bad for you"

The sad thing about it, is that the Bills were playing without Jim Kelly, Cornelius Bennet and, I believe, Bruce Smith was also on the bench that day as well.

Frank Reich? was the qb that game I think.

He was! And, backup RB Kenneth Davis had a big impact that day as well. He scored the Bills first TD to spark the comeback. I think he scored the second one as well.

Yes, this is true. All around royal screw up by the entire team and coaching staff.

Might, might not have. We'll never know. From the angles I've seen, it looks as though bebe MIGHT have been pushed or forced out. Who knows for sure. Nobody. There is a DVD of the FULL game. When I saw the NFL's Greatest games version, they only show one angle, and of ONLY Bebe stepping out. They don't show the angle from behind the play where it looks like the DB might have given him a little bump. We'll never know what the decision would have been or if the Bills might have gone done and scored anyway on that drive (cause it wasn't a 4th down that play occured on).

I saw a special on ESPN on that game and he definitely stepped out. It was admitted by Levy and the players. That was not a 4th down but still would have been a penalty and set the Bills further back.

I was cheering for the Bills too, to annoy everybody at work. Also cheered for the Jazz when Stockton buried that 3 pointer to send the Rockets home that year.

No more than an incomplete pass would. Like I said, we'll never know. I thought he got bumped out, maybe I don't remember. I do remember, though, seeing that play and saying to myself that they might have let it go today... I'll go back and watch.

They did not kick me out of the party. I suspect that unlike you, I annoy people with a great deal of charm. :D

Sorry, should have specified that I was talking about 2 different years but the same type situation. Remember the Oiler playoff losses to Denver and Kansas City? Dawg would have loved my celebration after :D

No. What you should specify is that you're sorry. Very, very sorry.

You just had to pull the scab off and reopen old wounds. For all of us true Oiler blue fans this was the bottom, just below the game against The Steelers.
