Great game Trinity and Congrats! They ran it down our throats and made all the big plays when they had to. That line really wore us down, Nance is legit but i thought the fullback and WR made some huge catches. The QB played flawless, they deserve the trophy. Game recognize game son.
Judson you played well just not well enough today...We'll return soon don't worry. You had a marvelous season.

I could say more if I watched it or was there, but Vittatoe made some big throws. That kept drives alive and moved the ball.

I went to the game and I wish it wasnt true, but it seemed to me that the game wasnt as close as the score might indicate. One of Judson's TDs was a 90-something yard defensive TD from a fumble (when Trinity was at the Judson goal line) and Trinity was at the goal line again basically when the time ran out on the game. The score could possibly have been 35-7. I was surprised that Trinity was still trying to score with almost no time on the clock. Seemed pretty pointless to me. Oh well great season anywayz Judson!!

You are nuts Bandido!!! Trinity has taken a knee on almost every game this year. What do you want them to do....give it to Judson and say sorry! Possession is the key and Trinity just kept the ball from them. Get real and check which team scored from offensive plays and not mistakes. It was known going in that Judson was a great defense and would take advantage of mistakes. It was not believed that Trinity would dominate and overcome mistakes. You need to realize that your post was a mistake!!! Trinity has NEVER and will NEVER embarrass a team with the game in hand!!! It's called class...look it up and practice it a little!!!

then why were they still trying to score, when all you had to do was take a knee, because Judson wasn't going to call a time out? Not trying to be contoversial, just showing the fact.

Both teams were in "battle mode". They were doing what they do. ET tryin' to score and Judson tryin' to stop them. There's no disgrace in that.

Don't try to be so funny...tryin to score...ha ha...They ran the clock down till there would onlt be less than 25 seconds ( that's called the play clock for you). What's wrong with trying to do that? Did you notice that they did not try any big pass plays to move downfield quickly? Or were you busy walking to your car? As they have done all year, they possessed the ball and used time off the clock. How many teams do you know that can kill 8 or 9 minutes off the clock whenever they need. Sounds like sour grapes and you can't stand they did what they are best at....running, possions, and winning. Oh yeah...don't get into you hstory thing...Trinity will be back because the program is quality and they now know how it is done.

I've some new found friends from judson from posting on a few other sites, J-Rock in particular, and then my pick for coach of the year Judson's jim Rackley, sounded like he could give a better sermon then Billy Graham if that's possible. I swear I've never heard a better motivator. Could have talked me into running thru walls ... really. But enough of that, this topic has merit.
All year The Trojans have showed tons of class by kneeling when the game was at hand, or even resting starters very early when the game was safe...sometimes as early as the 2nd quarter. The knee at the one during the 2nd Quarter, when up 50-0 against Irving, the knee inside the five against Irving MacArthur at the end of that game, all season long the Trojans have been the personification of class. I don't know why we went for a touchdown at the end of the game, I personally would have liked to have honored a great Defense like Judsons (and really a great team with so much heart, my hat's off to those players and that community) by kneeling at the game.
I've supported Lineweaver thru thick and thin, even defended his conservative play-calling against Lukin in the state semi's when we were up 20-0 at the half, but I'll be honest with everyone here. This doesn't ride well with me. Didn't mean to sour my fellow Trojans celebration of this long awaited celebration, I know my family down in Euless has probably got 20 pigs roasting over a spit as I'm typing this. I just hope that we continue to display the class that has endeared us to many of our opponnents thru the regular season and this years post-season with the exception of Judson. I believe they deserved as much respect as any of the other teams we played this year. I hope I didn't offend to many of my fellow Trojans with this post. Ofa atu (much love)

Honestly, I was thrilled to learn that Trinity would be playing Judson for the championship. My evil side wanted Trinity to run up the score on Judson, just as Judson did to Trinity in '92. But my good side knows that the Judson players and coaching staff of '92 are long gone, and the Judson of '05 is a different group undeserving of that kind of treatment.
Trinity could have taken a knee twice, instead of running the ball, but this hardly compares to Judson kicking an onside kick late in the '92 game up a gazillion points to none.

Wasn't Rackley the coach in '92?

If yoiu were at the game its was not a onsides kick it was a muff. Thats OK though if that is teh way you say it. The staters where out of the game very early in the 3rd quarter, and the second and third team scored as well. Judson tried many things not run up the score, but it is hard to tell kids to sit on the ball. You won yesterday , lets leave it at that, with a better team.

As hard as Trinity tried there was no way they would put 52 on Judson. Even a Judson team with 4 losses.

Well it could have easily been 42-7 if they dont fumble on the 1yard line, and score at the end..
I didnt like the way they were trying to score at the end. Just take the knees, waste the clock, and end the game. No need to try and run it up at the end. At least they didnt punch it in.

Folks around the state have learned not to run the score up on Judson, it will come back to bite you someday.

I wasn't at the game, I watched it on TV, and the announcers were surprised as anyone by the play. I recall the announcers questioning the sportsmanship of the Judson coach, and that's the impression I was left with. If Judson actually muffed the ball, then that's okay. Of course, Judson still used the great field position to score another TD, but if Trinity was unable to stop them, then so be it.

Congrats to Trinity, you guys are awesome and deserve to be the champs. I was at that game in '92, Judson pulled their starters late in the 3rd qtr. I would not call that intentionaly trying to run up the score. With that said, I don't think you guys were trying to run up the score either. Pretty much just running your offense until the time ran out. Good luck next year. Go Rockets!!

In order to get inside the 10 yard line two plays before that they completed a 20-25 yard pass. It wasn't sour grapes just pointing aout a fact. I uderstand that you are just a little one with a smart mouth. If you had read my other posts, you know that I congratulated Trinity big time. We will let you enjoy this well earned victory. To the rest of Trojan posters-again congrats, the players and coaches have earned the right to be classy STATE CHAMPS.

Was that pass not to maintain possession?! If you knew as much as you think you once knew you would realize that. What coach wants to just give the ball back? Can't read too many earlier posts if there aren't any. You state one and only one fact....Trinity earned it. They are about as classy a team and coaches as can be found.

Well since I was actually in the game that day I can tell you that it was a pooch kick. The kick was short and was meant to hang in the air so that the Judson KO team could cover the field and hopefully force the Trinity returners to call for a fair catch (Trinity pooched the ball seceral times the other day against Judson). Anyways that particular kick got caught up in a gust of wind and actually blew back in the hands of one of the kickoff cover guys. It was one of those freak deals. We didnt try to run the score up..We just kept playing football, everyone played!
