The Arkie-saw millionaire is reported by the DMN to having a few hiccups getting his final financing lined up for JerryWorld.

Maybe he can offer a two-fer -- the Cowboys and World Cup - or Super Bowl and Motocross?

That wouldn't be bad idea at all. Pretty smart actually.

I think in this economy that we will see a little bit of a financial reset in the pro sports. The PGA tour is already losing lots of sponsors. I can't imagine that it won't impact the NFL, NBA and MLB. The salaries, stadiums, and all have gone to unsupportable levels. I think in the process it is becoming more about $$ and entertainment and less about winning, etc.. Another reason to follow HS sports.

I hope Jerry's World implodes...
It's happening to regular people...
Who spent more than they could afford...

I'm sure it won't happen, but it would be very amusing to say the least.

I doubt it will implode, but I do think that we will see a slight reset in pro sports. It is reaching the point where the normal family is starting to choose other activities. It is about time too. The guaranteed contracts in basketball and baseball are ridiculous (especially basketball).

Also, I think Jerry got around 300-350 million in public money for the new stadium and he has added a lot since construction started. I bet he is upwards of 1.2 or 1.3 billion by now and borrowing money is not easy in this economy. We live in interesting times.

Lance Alworth was the man. Too bad today's kids didn't get to see him play.

I liked the single bar face mask. He was a great one. How about John Hadl and Dan Fouts those guys could chunk it. Fouts was as pure a passer as they come. The only thing that kept him out of the super bowl was a freezing January game in Cincy.
