Keep the bowl games....but take the top 16 teams and have a playoff.

I agree with Reganrattler07. They need to keep the bowl games but take out the BCS so that way there will not be anymore controversy.

I think they need to raise the minimum bowl eligible record. I love watching bowls, dont get me wrong, but there are too many bowls being played. I dont want to watch two bad 6-5 teams battle it out in some no-name bowl. Just raise the bar needed to get a bowl, and eliminate a few of them.

I guess I see your point, but it would be hard to do that because if you say, move the bar to 7-4 or 7-5 depending on however many games there were, there would probably be an odd number of teams and it would just be a logistical nightmare. Plus, in the current system of 62316541321654 bowls, more student athletes get to play on a bigger scale...very cool for them.

Keep all the Bowls. The Bowls reward teams, coaches, fans and ect.

But, for the national title game. They need to take all the polls and come up with the football "Final four" and have a 2 game playoff with those Top 4 teams for the national Title.

Every year there is really only 3 to 4 teams that can honestly claim to have an argument for playing for the national title.

Final four.

#1 vs #4 on (#1 homefield)
#2 vs #3 on (#2 homefield)

Rotote the national title each year between Rose, Orange, Sugar and Fiesta after the SEMI-FINAL games.

PS. They should also do away with the Conference Title games. They are starting to be a joke. I mean when you have teams like Texas playing Colorado for the Big-12 title, FSU vs Va Tech and FSU gets a BCS bowl with what a freaking (8-4) record !!

Also, not all the BCS conference have conference title games either. Big-10, Big East and Pac-10.

So, do away with the conference title games and have bring in the "FINAL FOUR."

what difference does an extra bowl game mean if it is played before Christmas. It doesn't matter and they should have it. I mean it is more football to watch. I don't think anyone would argue against having more football to watch

Bowl games are good for city economies, that's why I wanted to keep them and then just take the top 16...or top 8, which may be better....have the bracket like the nba

1 vs. 8
2 vs. 7
3 vs. 6
4 vs. 5

having 1-4 with homefield.

more football to watch? i love football. but i could care less about watching arkansas state play southern miss or memphis play akron. its gotten out of hand with all the bowls. in fact, the ncaa is thinking of adding another bowl game next year.
