sv fans as you know the game this week is to be played at tully stadium in houston.
\tully stadium is the home for the spring branch isd...
the stadium is located on the stratford high school campus...
craig james, espn comentator, (nfl star with new england and smu star),
played his high school football at tully stadium for stratford high...
stratford won a state championship in 1978 with james as the go to guy...
katy was once in the same district with stratford...in fact in 1997 when
katy won div 1 5a state championship they were in the same district with
the spring branch isd...

katy isd now has 6 5a high schools....

mayde creek
morton ranch (1st football varsith season 2006)
seven lakes (1st football varsith season 2007)

watch out for the road construction through the katy area
on I-10....it's pretty intense...

To add to the meaningless trivia: Smithson Valley high school is located in Spring Branch, Texas. So, I guess that means SV has home field advantage.

that is why i mentioned spring branch...
a lot of people in the houston area (not necessarily katy)
think that smithson valley is (a valley team) ((uggggg))
the true fans know better...
my daughter played club softball with some of the sv girls...
great group of people....the girls from sv and katy are all div 1 players now...
