By dishing out the blame left and right, you can rationalize your own failures and convince the people those failures are somebody else's fault. There's no question that the congress since Nancy Pelosi came to power has been one of the biggest failures in the history of democratic government, but she has always been able to just blame the other guy's for her failures. She's running out of other guys to blame.

She's good for a least 40 more years. Look at Bobby Byrd. Ok, don't look, but consider him.

When is her term up?

She just won her reelection campaign so her term will take her through 2010. Pelosi will have her current elected office for as long as she wants it. San Francisco is not going to field or vote for another candidate so long as Pelosi wants the job. This last election was the first since '92 that she didn't get at least 80% of the vote (she got 72%).

Right there with ya Slorch!

The problem we have is the current 24x7 sensational news networks require a crisis to be able to fill their programming. If a real one doesn't exist then they create one or run a real one into the ground over and over and over again... People like Pelosi play right into their hands and vice versa.

at this rate, let's see, we won't have anybody employed in the U.S. by the middle of March?

Those comments were brought to us by the Democrats "finest".:D. Man I am LOVING this - every day is more interesting and fun-filled than the next! I am not anti-American - I don't want this country to fall apart - but I am anti-Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, etc. Can't stand and definitely don't trust any of them and, while I don't hope they fail, I do see it happening. Reminds me of kids on there first day of Kindergarten - so excited but they want it their way and don't want to share too much. As I said, Bush will not go down in history and "the worst" I'm pretty certain at this point.

And don't whine about "why are we watching him so closely" or "why haven't you waited a while to see what happens". The first 100 days are very crucial and no President is exempt from that. With this one, the media is in his pocket so he actually doesn't have as much to worry about as his predecessors - but the media will tire of that as they do everything else and when they come down on him, it won't be pretty.

All of this and I will throw in that they are clueless. Have they ever read any history books? Did they study the sacrifices made by those who founded our nation? Do they understand what leadership is? Of course not, they are unfortunately a sad joke. I say sad cuz it impacts all of us.

Listen to Glen Beck earlier today...and he did the math on this major crisis:

by 2011.....11 trillion people across the universe would be jobless

Potentially 6 trillion people by the end of his year across the Globe would lose their jobs...

in just one month...after this colossal loss of jobs...The current 120 million American workforce would shrink to a surprising and jaw dropping -320 million unemployed people.... That is something like 5 generations of American legal workers.... My great great great great Grand kids are going to be unemployed for life.

It's still odd to me that the current congress/senate has some of the lowest (if not the lowest) approval numbers of all time. And the best we could muster up for POTUS was 2 senators. And we elected one of them. That makes ZERO sense to me.

It further makes little sense that when a current member of either house speaks, people will actually stop what they're doing and listen.

Up here at work, when one of the people we all know is "full of crap" begins talking, we just tune them out and/or walk off.

How do you arrive at that conclusion? Please provide how the Bush term was one of the most "corrupt". It certainly couldnt have been more corrupt that your boy Bill selling military secrets to China. But please, go right ahead and provide your proof of the corruptness. Being inept and being corrupt are not the same thing.

Maybe so but Clinton's 2 terms saw a period of unprecedented economic prosperity. Ok here comes the arguments that we ended up paying for it during Bush's 2 terms. Choose to believe that if it makes you feel better. This past administration ended up screwing most Americans and knew that they were doing it. There is now way to sugarcoat it. Not even with the previous administrations lying about screwing interns in the WH. Most can live with that now.

Here is some of the Clinton corruptness.
Selling the military secrets
Vince Foster's "suicide", and the immediate clearing out his office of all Whitewater billing records.
Illegal campaign contributions from the Indonesian Lippo group.
The Web Hubbell hush money.
This list could go on and on.

So we just ignore all of it, just because of unprecedented economic prosperity? We just act like it didnt happen, and that makes everything allright?

There's plenty of proof that he justified going to war with Iraq with lies. The cost is American lives. Perhaps corruption is too soft a term. What would you choose to call lying to the American people at the cost of American lives? You fill in the blank.

Clinton sold miltary secrets to China in return for funneled money from them, in the form of campaign contributions to the DNC. Chinese nuclear missile technology has been greatly improved due to this, and they can now attack America from their homeland. Now, answer your own question.

With all the PORK in this stimulous package it'll take alot longer than september. Very little in this bill will create ANY jobs. Where's the CHANGE we were promised? I'll give him 2 weeks to get rid of the tax cheat he has running the treasury. That is not too much to ask. Chicago's mayor Daily is ready for his bailout money, and refuses to make public what he is going to do with it...transparency huh? Two weeks my a$$..

that guy is going to have to go - the rumblings are getting louder and louder and obama keeps sticking his foot in his mouth - that's what not having a teleprompter does! He contradicts himself every single day it seems. But the other two left - the other tax cheat - they guy who will be heading up the IRS - needs to go!!

Obama must be wishing he were back in Hawaii right about now! It was all about winning for him anyway - not the post win situation.

This morning I played WoW for a little while before I came to work. On the in-game chat people were talking about O'Bama. Someone said something that really caught my attention.
Basically it's that people voted for O'Bama because he is all about change. But he never really said what that "change" was going to be. He never said it would be "good change", people just assumed that.
Now look what we have.

Anyway. Just thought it was interesting.

I think quite a few of us on here and elsewhere brought that up - that change is not always "good" and many times it is very bad. He never said what kind of change - the lemmings fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Thousands, consequently millions...from both sides of the isle.

Couldn't agree more. Fact is you have to look long and hard to find an honest politician, who is truly there "for the people". The two party system has wandered into territory that it will never return from, IMO.
