I'll have to agree not just because Im a Katy homer but because I think that these two teams want to see each other in the D2 title game. SLC wants revenge from '03 and Katy wants to put another mark on that record to prove that Katy reigns in Texas 5A Football

Of course, I would have enjoyed witnessing this match-up as well, but SV was the better team that day ('02 semi's), so shoulda just isn't a fair statement IMO.

Being that I'm a Katy backer, I can't speak for LP. ;)

History repeats itself the last time Katy played SLC the tigers stoped carrol from tieing there best ever 32-0 wins in a row and a state championship. if they meet agian the exact situation will be at stake SLC will have 31 consectutive wins and katy will be there to stop them again.

no i know you believe what you will. that specific play was third down. had it been called incorrectly and we had to go on fourth down, is there any doubt that the 2 pt conversion play where the receiver created 8 yds of space from the 3 yd line , would have been open for a td. all it would have meant is that the last play, the hail mary would never have occured.

I still have the DMN foto of that ball securely in Chandler's hands as the background of my computer at the office. In fact, I sent the link to that foto to the Lufkin News when the Pack folks were boo hooing about that in 2002. He caught it in the end zone, ran with it in the end zone and then your back knocked it out still in the end zone. But all it takes is possession in the end zone and you are entitled to six points. Get over it.

The biggest was the 4th and long conversion were the SLC qb was pressured and threw a pass in desperation and hit our best lb in the hands!! instead of knocking it down he tried to pick it off (natural reaction) and it somehow by some type of miracle defelected off his hands directly to a SLC wr for a 1st down. That was by far the biggest play and it is overlooked each time. Lufkin knocks that down all Lufkin has to do is run out the clock. But like i said, should of could of would of. And yes d-daddy, I see that play in my nightmares. ;) Who knows what would have happened if he knocks that pass down for SLC and Lufkin. I know they say baseball is a game of inches but that game was too.

actually the Chandler play, I think, is mentioned a lot less than the 4th down conversion in Southlake

all i know is if we take care of slc...we would probly be at reliant or astrodome vs katy or smithson valley...or at kyle field if its katy...neutral site...houston would be the sight vs smithson valley...but we gotta take care of business at homer bryce
