I don't think so - I think he's still American Pie-ing in all venues.

so to appreciate Mozart, i would need to be what... over 100 years old?
I still like Buddy holly's music.
I actually like Don Maclean's song too. It has a wide range of emotions in it.

I can only imagine how far Holly would have gone with his musical genius. He pretty much invented overdubbing which led to Spector's wall of sound among other things. The Beatles idolozed Buddy Holly - that's saying something. He was an incredible, intelligent musician and one who truly died before his time. Ritchie Valens was another one who inspired groups such as Los Lobos and he was also on his way. And to think that Waylon Jennings gave up a seat on that plane.

One of his more intriguing ventures. Not really a song at all but we used to put the headphones on and listen to it over and over - kind of like trying to find the "Paul is Dead" clues. There is even a soccer game going on in that one at one point. The White Album rocks!

I'll have more on this topic later. I reflected on the day as best I could:
1. Wearing a Buddy Holly t-shirt.
2. Listening to the 50 songs on Buddy Holly Gold on the way to and from the Stars game and listening once again to my CD that covers a bunch of stuff from Ritchie Valens life with about 17 song cuts.
