Saw somewhere online that they are already tearing things out of the stadium including the seats. Sounds to me like it will be gone soon.

Kindof sad, it's like a land mark. Ohwell, new one is pretty nice, and big.
It is going to be torn down and a master planned devolopment will be designed and built on that property and surrounding areas. There will be a transit oriented set up done there as well as well as a DART rail station is slated to be built there.
In the center of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex is Crossroads DFW. Currently home to the Dallas Cowboys’ Texas Stadium, this premier site and surrounding area will become part of master-planned development. This vast project will span State Highway 114 with a signature "sky-park." The stadium area itself will be become an urban, mixed-use transit district. The city and developer are also considering new civic buildings, residential neighborhoods, plazas and hotels.

Ah, thanks. They should use TNT. KABOOM jajaja

Yea I dont think there is much to implode there since its basically just a shell, but they may very well use explosives to bring it down.
It does suck in a way because of all the history that is associated with Texas Stadium..I've wittnessed some great football there. I've seen some good Cowboy games there, but by far the high school games I've seen played there were without question what I will miss most about it.

Glad I got to witness one last quad-header there this fall.

For sure brother. I'm glad I did as well, though the results for my team weren't what I had hoped for, it didn't stop me from staying until the last teams started playing. And I returned for most of the games in the weeks following that as well, even got to see some 4A games too.
The bright side of all this is if you guys return for another quad header next season, it will be in the new stadium and that should be very cool in itself.

I concur, hope to see you guys again this year. SLC will probably start a new tradition in Jerry's house by beating PW. But if Allen meets you guys in the playoffs there, hopefully we can reverse our past fortunes.:DIt will be sad to see the stadium go.

From what I read from this, Irving can't wait for Texas Stadium to be torn down. All three highways 121, 114, and Loop 12 are there and it's just begging to be made into a shopping, business complex.

Actually they plan to amplify the HAKA to a volume that brings the walls tumbling down.

Just flush about 5 toilets at once. The toilets will overflow and fill the place up quickly.

No doubt.
I'm certainly not going to miss the nasty smell that place had.

No TNT. Disassemble. If they blow it up, every Cowboy hater is going to post the video of it on YouTube... or they could implode w/o warning just on some random day... no notice... no warning... just sayonara.

While I can understand how some don't want to see it torn down because of all the history its been apart of. I look at the Astrodome here and wonder stil why it is standing. I mean it too has seen its share of historical moments, but ever once the Astros and Oliers moved out of it nothing was done to it in the way of up keep. It was basically allowed to just fall apart and become a very dreary and dark former shell of its once illustrious self. By the sounds of what I've read over and over here from people that have gone to Texas Stadium it sounds like the same think happened there. So if there is a plan to make good use of the land then I say tear it down and move on. As for your memories you'll always have those whether it is standing or not.

Heck...they didn't paint the roof until the Cowboys announced they were leaving.

I heard at the beginning of January that its going to cost about 7 million dollars or something around there to fill the hole that the stadium created. They have to have it down within the next year. so by january, the stadium is going to be gone. High rise living/apartments, a dart rail station, and an outlet mall are going to be replacing the stadium.
