This game will be at noon right? What is the chance that it will be in Austin? I have two exams at UT on Sat. , but have a breal from 12-2. It would be sweet if it were in Austin.

have you seen the stadium and its condition? They are doing construction on the endzone seats right now. I doubt that they will be able to have a game there

I haven't been down there lately, but if it is just the endzone seats they can tape that section off. Don't you think that if SV and SLC played again, Austin would be the Alamodome's replacement

it would be an alternative and I don't know how willing the university or the construction company would be to do that

rumors i'm hearing have the possible slc matchups at ts if its kt and a hs field in sa if its sv. don't know where lp would be playing.

Its wishful thinking...otherwise I'll have to watch it on tv. It won't be the same. I have been to all three of SV's title game. Last year was a blast. I can only hope I will be able to go to this years. What do you think the possible sites will be?

LP vs. Katy----A&M if reliant stadium isn't open.
singularity

I don't care if SV is not in it. I will just watch it on tv if SV loses. What HS stadium in SA is big enough for a title game. Alamo stadium comes to mind, but it sucks. SA bands have UIL there. It is a tacky old stadium, but would fit plenty as it wraps around the entire field.

I am pretty sure that is where Smithson Valley's coach wanted the game last year before the UIL ruled that Carroll was given home field advantage

The only reason for that would be one, he has played there before, and knows the stadium, and two, he wants to have room for the fans. I don't think he would pick other stadiums that would hold less fans for such a big game. He wants everyone to come see him beat the dragons for the first time...:p

If it were Carroll vs. SV..would'nt it go back to a flip, now that each has had it in their home area? 02 @ Alamodome..O4 @ TS...Why back to an SA High School Stadium?

That was just the stadium that we think that SV would have to choose as their home field

Coach Dodge wouldn't want to play at DKR/JJF/TMS - it's grass, isn't it?

No, because of the two year rule, since the game was played in Dallas last year, SV would hve the right to pick where the game would be played. The only place it couldn't be played is at SV stadium.

Both teams have had a chance at being the home team. Now it will go back to a flip again.

That exact rule was enforced last year. That is why the game was played at TS because in 02 it was at the Alamodome.

02 is ruled out this year, new year. Dont count it anymore. Game will be in SA area, or where Hill wants it.

your coach wanted to flip home and home and selected Alamo Stadium as his choice. I know for a fact on this one. UT was thrown out as a neutral site, not as a home site.

YEP! Hill wants that stadium PACKED TO THE LIMIT. its old and raggedy but hey its a field. he always says we'll play in a parking lot if we have to!
Then Baylor is a nuetral... obviously! who would be home and who would be the away team in an SV Lufkin matchup in baylor?

If I were Hill, I'd opt for the Rock Pile. Great stadium for high school football! all the ghosts of the past...Linus Bear, Tommy Kramer just to name a couple.

I just read the posts above. If you think the SLC fans are whining now, just wait and see how loud it gets when they have to come to Alamo Stadium. SV and SLC have some business to take care of for this to happen. I think the board needs to go on vacation next week if this occurs.

If they can't decide on a neutral for Carroll / SV..should that happen...it's flipping time again...Texas Stadium or Alamo Stadium? Oh well..they're both old

I already have to drive to houston this w/e, and the way my whip is driving right now I don't need another road trip the following w/e because I don't know if I'll even make it there, bring it to (or at least close to) SA baby.

How many does Alamo Stadium hold? Sure seems like the Floyd is the best venue across the board - and it actually is available from what I hear -unlike this week. No love for the Floyd?

I thought someone had an official statement from the schools or UIL. Yeah those should still be the sites the go off of. Don't think it would be a flip for home and home.

Katy-LP would be at Kyle or Reliant. Kyle if Reliant is a no go.
Katy-SLC would be at Texas Stadium. Tigers chose Reliant Stadium, but SLC won the flip.

If Katy plays SLC - the average speed on I-45 next Saturday a.m. will be 97 mph. I've driven 79 mph on I-45 the day before Thanksgiving and gotten honked at for slowing folks down.
