Be thankful! I have had a seriously bummed out week now that my son and his teammates have been eliminated a few days ago.
So, quit yer bellyachin' about stadium size, respect or lack thereof, this that or the other, whatever it is you're griping about... just shut up!
Be thankful you still have a game to attend this weekend. The alternative is like a swift kick to the nads.
ACM Tigers in '06! Kick down the door baby!
Good luck to all teams left alive. I pray there are no injuries on any football field this weekend.

Thanks, ACM Dad, you represent your son and school proudly. I have been trying to find the right spot to let you know this and how I much I enjoyed your posts before and after the game. Good luck next year!

Boy do I hear ya Dad!!! I'm not going to a football game this weekend for the first time since August - I don't have nads but the withdrawals are killing me nevertheless:) August 2006 can NOT get here fast enough. I am going to a basketball game this weekend though (well, it's something at least!!).

My wife got a lot of emails on monday from many other Tiger moms. They were all going through the motions, but felt like they should be painting signs, baking cookies, decorating vehicles, etc.,.
When football season starts, it's like Christmas in my house. When you make the playoffs, it's like rolling your birthday and Christmas into one huge euphoric daze.
Being out of the hunt stinks, but that's the way it is. I really hope all our Jr.'s and Soph's can take all this in and feed off of it during the off-season.
But, to the rest of you folks, be thankful. I would be. :)
Good luck Trinity. When you beat Judson by more than 22 points, I OFFICIALLY claim 2nd place in D1! :) I think last Saturday's game will prove to be the true championship game. Sorry Judson, but I fear you guys will be nothing more than a speed bump this Saturday. Good luck to both teams. I can't wait to watch it on TV.
:)
On a sadder note, 4 ACM Students were in a single car crash last night, 2 dead, 2 in ICU. So, when you examine this life situation, playing football pales in significance. Pray for those four students if you do that sort of thing. Thanks.

No, the title game is this week. Both teams won and deserve to be here. There can be a lot of discussion about who is better than who, but we know 2 worthy teams are playing for the title.
I would also like to congratulate the 6 teams left and all the other teams who had their season end short of this week.

I agree! There's about 230 big schools that don't have the excitement and anticipation that all the Dragon nation should be enjoying this week. I am looking forward to a fabulous day and exciting game at a different venue. I take the word of our Panther friends that it will a great atmosphere. Maybe it'll be cleaner than TS.:) The weather forecast looks pretty promising too.

Each year I become more and more grateful for what Judson does. We take it for granted they'll be playing in December and get upset when they lose. Most teams don't even come close to playing in December each year.

Haha, yep, an arena that just had a circus in it for a week is cleaner than Texslum Stadium. I'd take elephant dung over 2 week old faux nacho cheese scum on the floor. At least the elephant dung doesn't have a half-life. :)

How many years in a row has Judson played in Dec? More than a couple is way impressive.

Quick story here. Have you guys ever heard of Art Donovan? He's a Hall of Famer that played DT for the Colts and you can't miss him because he has a flattop, cusses a lot, and always has a bunch of stories. I always laughed at him on Monday Night's because he did a show before Monday Night Football in the DC/Baltimore area and his former teammate and show host always had to tell him to stop cussing on the air!:D He wrote a great biography called "Fatso" and told a story about playing the Giants one time. The circus had been in town at Yankee Stadium and there was elephant crap everywhere. He said all the guys on both sides of the line were throwing crap at each other during the game. I started crying when I read that!:D

First of all, how could any true football fan not love Donovan. He's epic.
Secondly, the elephant shat story is great.

With water being $3.50 there, I'd assume that you are paying 2 bucks for about 2 cents worth of sugar and CO2. Jerry sucks in his handling of Texslum Stadium.

I thoroughly enjoyed Carroll's 2001 4A playoff run to the state semifinals. I was pretty certain we'd be moving up to 5A the next year and figured it would be awhile until we'd see a December game again. It took 5 years to do accomplish that when we moved up from 3A to 4A in 1994. I'm still blown away by the immediacy of the success our program had in 5A and thankful that it has continued for four years. Go Dragons!!

You guys have a lot of games in December, too. I respect your porgram just because you win so much and it's not as easy as it looks.
