What is the best gaming system? Like I would probably play sports games most...basketball, football, etc.

360 and PS3 each have their pros and cons. PS3 finally dropped their price. That was long overdue.

The Wii is a better core system than either of those two, but it doesn't sport the same graphical prowess.

The most dominant plat form of gaming period is the PC, but if you're looking to avoid that area of gaming. Go with the 360, x-box live allows you to connect with millions of others, it has a large library and a plethora of titles. Visually the ps3 has far superior visuals, but like the joke. Why do they call it the ps3? Because it only has 3 games worth a damn.

Plus it has much more to offer than sports games too! I dont have one, but being a dmd major i have to keep up to par with this ****.

Depends what you like. Check out the games first of all, find the ones that are diff and what you like about it. Graphics are better on the PS3, and bluray is an added perk. BUT if you arent going to be hooking it up to a high def tv, that doesnt make a difference.

I've heard of more issues with the 360, but idk for sure which has more issues.

Playstation online is free, allows you to access regular internet, you can rent movies on there (like 4 bucks a movie tho) etc.

xbox 360 hands down...better games, although i'm mainly cod4 and 5 and ncaa games. xbox live is also great. i personally don't like the wii...more geared towards little kids IMO.

damn...i got the red ring of death once and i called microsoft...they shipped out a box for the xbox and they paid the postage. i didn't pay a cent and i got a brand new xbox. mine may have been under warranty though..

Go with the 360. The graphics are more or less the same, the 360 has way more games, xbox live dominates the playstation network, and the 360 is still way cheaper.

And Mortal Kombat is on 360 as well as PS3.

Really it depends on if you have an hd tv and what games you like more. If you have an hd tv I would recomend the ps3 simply because thats where you notice it starts to outpace the xbox by leaps and bounds. Second thing is what games you really want to get. I always new I'd be getting the ps3 over the 360 just based on the games that were coming out for ps3. There was no way I was gonna miss Metal Gear Solid 4, Resident Evil 5 or the new final fantasy. I've always preferred nintendo and playstation games to xbox though, virtually any game on xbox is available for pc 6 months afterwords anyway. Really just look up what games interest you most, unless you just really want a new blu ray player as well. Here's a few trailers for ones I'm looking forward too or really enjoyed.

I have nearly every gaming system since the original Nintendo...currently, I have a 360, PS3, and a Wii in my dorm room with me.

I would say a 360 will be your best bet for sports games, especially if you want to do online play and/or link up with your friends. Xbox Live obviously costs money and PS3's does not, but I tend to like playing on LIVE better.

For a Gold membership it's around the $60 range. I can't remember exactly how much, because I slept since then.

I have not had a gaming system since N64. All these buttons are weird. I remember when it was only like up,down,left,right....and the A&B button lol

cod4 won game of the year in '08 i believe...both are unbelievable.

Sports games you really cant go wrong with, really depends on your taste in games.
