Not possible! Tickets went on sale at 7 am in Lufkin with a limit of 6 per person. Not enough time to sell out 7-8000 tickets even if everyone bought max. Besides they will let more than 1,000 extra in to sit on grass. Quit frettin'. You will be able to get a ticket at the gate Saturday.

I think Southlake started ticket sales on Monday or Tuesday, that is probably why they are sold out. Lufklin will probably sell out before the day is through.
I picked all of my tickets up about 7:00 am this morning and there were about 150 people waiting in line. They started selling at 6:30 am, with some people getting there at 3:00 am to get in the line.

Will this game be like the LP/Lview game last year? They did not turn people away. This game won't have to many more in attendance than it did.

I got my tickets at 7 this morning. I showed up at 6:45 in the morning thinking that I was going to be early, only to find out that I had about 50 people in line ahead of me. By the time I got to the front of the line to purchase my tickets(about 30 min) there probably was about 100 more in line behind me with more people still pulling up.

Can I get a garuantee that I won't be turned away if I drive down? Surely they won't turn people away.

Yeah, police and fire marshalls never turn people away from jamming themselves into a stadium with bad blood just a blown call away.

Just looking at some pictures on the Lufkin site and it appears to me the "hill" would be the place to sit anyway. Bring a lawn chair and ice chest with some good ole East Texas water:D and have a great time!

Just returned from purchasing tickets at 9:45. Sold out of student tickets (but will sell some at HS Friday) About 2000 left according to officer Bean. Word from a man who I believe to some type of official for LISD is that SFA will only allow 18000 tickets to be sold, total. 7000 by each school and 4000 at gate Saturday. This was supposedly reported on the news last night, don't know for sure. There were apparently issues last year at the LP/Longview game with the restrooms and such. Anyway Lufkin should be out of tickets by lunch if not sooner based on rate of sale now.

Yep - sure could have - Coach Outlaw could have agreed to play at a stadium 12 minutes from SL that the Dragons play on 8 times a year, or Coach Dodge could have agreed to play at a truly neutral site - Kyle Field - and play on grass. That surely could have solved this dilemma.

very very true. Dodge did not agree on the neutral site (Kyle Field) and Dodge agreed to the home and home flip. Simple as that.

If there is a brawl between the fans, I hope someobody gets it on tape so I can buy it.
In Shreveport for the La title games. They moved the 1A and 5A games several hours apart to keep the ECA and WestMonroe fans from having to mingle with one another.
I just love fans. They always seem to lose touch with what this is all about.

Sold out just means all of the tickets have gone to the districts..Carroll's went on sale this morning..my little dragon is hopefully getting ours at Carroll Middle School..I think we all agree that the game would be better in a bigger stadium, but Coach Dodge had his reasons for not wanting to play at Aggieland..and the resulting flip was fair & square...nobody would expect that Lufkin would want to drive to TS if they won the flip..? I can't wait..it is always fun to play the pack...

For years, all coaches wanted to play a "speed team" on grass but I'm sure, in this instance, it's because they don't have "broken in" game shoes to play on a natural turf(grass). Almost all teams play almost all games on turf these days and it's a different shoe than you use on grass. From a fan standpoint, this time, it came back to bite him.

Carroll is a "speed team" by any definition...I think it had more to do with weather/muddy field possibilities...that, or maybe the fact that there are just too many aggies in college station...:D

No ticket woes for Carroll
11:13 AM CST on Wednesday, December 7, 2005
By DAMON SAYLES / The Dallas Morning News
Ticket sales for Southlake Carroll's state football playoff game went smoothly Wednesday morning at six Carroll ISD schools, officials said.
Southlake Carroll (14-0) will play Lufkin (14-0) in the Class 5A, Division II semifinals at 2 p.m. Saturday at Homer Bryce Stadium in Nacogdoches, about a 3 1/2-hour drive from Dallas-Fort Worth.
Principals Daniel Presley and Rick Westfall said sales were comparable to what they have been throughout the playoffs. Presley speculated that a lot of fans probably were still deciding whether to make the trip to Nacogdoches.
"We’ve got tickets, plenty of tickets," Westfall said. "The traffic we’re getting right now is pretty much what we get every week."
Said Presley: "We’re selling them at different sites, so it’s pretty spread out for those who want to buy tickets. That makes it convenient for everyone."
