It just keeps getting worse and worse for those Philadelphia Eagles. First, they suspend Owens for the rest of the season for conduct detrimental to the team, they also lose Pro Bowl DT Tra Thomas with an injury and put him on reserve. Donovan McNabb is out for the seaon with hernia surgery and now they lose Brian Westbrook with a foot injury for the rest of the season. The Eagles can't buy a break with all those injuries. Losing Owens,McNabb, and Westbrook has the Eagles without half of their offense and I don't see anymore wins coming out of Philly since they don't have the right players to get the job done.

You are almost right...Westbrook, Mcnabb, and Owens is ALL their offense...they had ZERO points in that game.

I think the only offensive player that has stood out has been L.J. Smith. He has been the go-to-guy when Westbrok was not playing well and if it wasn't for him, the Eagles wouldn't had a passing game since Owens was suspended for the rest of the year and Smith has stepped up to the challenge thus far.

Yeah LJ has been playing good.. Greg Lewis has played good but he is showing why he isn't a number 1 WR. He will have his breakout year next year when he settles back into a #2 WR position. Ryan Moats has been impressive in the limited action that he has seen (minus the fumble last week). He will be someone to watch in the next couple of weeks. Reggie Brown has played decent. He will deff. be someone to watch for in the future.

Yea, Reggie Whites ceramony was the highlight of that game because the Eagles did absolutely NOTHING.

I don't know if that was really the Eagles or a college team named the Eagles.

The Eagles of Philadelphia will ride in the 2006-2007 season. I expect big things out of them.

If it's the first week of December and you are already talking about next season...that is usually a bad thing.

If they'tr are gonna throw away the rest of the season, they may as well unload T.O.

They can have a better season next year if they can manage to avoid what happened to them this year, if the players who are free agents after this season that are without a new contract patienly wait on a new deal instead of pulling a T.O. and threatening to holdout, and if the management can get some good free agents for less money instead of paying them huge contracts.

No I am not really captain obvious but I have watched stories about the Eagles and their problems on ESPN and they think Philly can get their team back on the right track once Owens is finally released, and then we will se what happens.

Yeah they will be back. Injuries took out our top offensive players including 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 QB.. not to mention injuries along the D-Line, O-line..

Sometimes teams just need a year to re-load and refocus. This is the year for that, and they will be back strong agian next year.

I totally agree with you southlake thug and I believe that Westbrook, McNabb, and Pinkston will probably have breakout season together and hopefully, we may see the Eagles of old again. NFC East Champs 2006 anyone?

Yeah it is a possibility. Although they didn't win the big one in the past few years of NFC domination, they had a real good run.

McNabb will have a chip on his shoulder coming into next year and he will prove that he doesn't need TO and that he is an elite QB in this league.

McNabb has said to the media time and time again "we don't need T.O. and we have the group of guys that can get the job done" Either way, I think that he is a great QB even if he still had that loudmouth, but the real test will be can McNabb, Westbrook, and Pinkston have a good season without injury? Time will tell if that will happen, but all of us Eagle fans just have to wait and see.

True.. from what I hear Westbrooks injury could be a little more serious then people think. Especially for a guy who relies on his quickness and speed as much as he does.

What do you think that they need to focus on the most in the draft?

I would say picking up a "big RB". History says that Buckhalter will get hurt agian in the preseason and miss the entire year. And I question Westbrooks durability for an entire season. Also WR is pretty weak right now. Reggie Brown is looking like a solid pick now, but we need some more players to compliment him.

I really think that Buckhalter needs to go. He's too injury prone with that knee of his and besides, Ryan Moats will develope into a stud in the near future. I also agree that the WR really needs to be looked at. They have Brown like you said who is also going to be a real stud IMO coming into the later years. They have young guys that can compete with the best of them if the coaches can use them correctly.

Real tough loss today. I was at work and unable to watch it, but from what I read and heard they played NY decent. Moats looks as if he had a VERY good day. Close game, tough loss.

These are the games that you miss TO, McNabb, Westbrook, Pinkston, Brown, ect.

I was surprised to see how the Eagles were hangin' with them. McMahon (in OT) got hit as he was about to throw and fumbled deep in Eagle's territory which set up the game winning score.

The Eagles came up short but played well. Ryan Moats was solid and played like a stud just like I said he was going to be rushing fo 114 yards and 2 TD's. Reggie Brown, another stud, had a good game with 5 receptions for 72 yards but it wasn't enough to stop Tiki Barber, who rushed for 124 yards while having 5 receptions for 71 yards and a TD. Eagles come up short losing to the Giants 26-23.
