View Full Version : pied gets a gig
ahhhhh just in time.
"Paid Leave" ends 1/29 and I got an offer to start 2/2. Got them to push it back to 2/9 so I can have a little vacation. Well I guess I've been on vacation since the beginning of December, but this time I am taking the family to see some friends.
Thanks to all who have wished me well.
Screw the man. Well after I get my package next week, screw them. For now I hope they stay afloat for six more days.

Congrats!
Thought crossed my mind whether to file or not. Never really got to that point. Technically still employed and drawing my regular paycheck through the end of the month, I would not be eligible.
Consider myself very lucky and fortunate. I got paid pretty well to leave and most of those at my soon to be former employer are looking at very little if any in the bonus area this past year.

congrats Pied.
You have always struck me as the family first type of person that has great values and morals. I hated to see one of the good guys go through what you did but I am happy to see that the Lord has blessed you with another gig.
I wish you my best. Congrats again.

Glad to hear it pied. I'm convinced it was all the good vibes we sent to you...ok, maybe not, but it helped a little.

You find out who your friends are, and that's where I might have been the luckiest. From my church to colleagues(one of whom set me up with this job), to guys like all of you.
Extremely happy to have another job, but also got the time to take a look at what's most important.
Thanks again for the thoughts guys!

The guy doing them now sucks...:D
I'd welcome his input...
But I have a feeling...he'd decline...
Congrats, glad you didn't have to be unemployed for long.
Technically my first day of unemployment, the first day I could start another job and not forfeit my package is next Friday. The new company wants me to start 2/2. That would put me on the street for one day. I pushed the start date bak a week, so I will be on the skids for 6 days.
